Our first XI compares favourably I would say; but overall they are top in the league, in the semi finals of the FA Cup and the Champions League and we aren't. So no for me.

We're getting there though, if we do overtake them and win the title and they go on to win **** all else for the season then we're better .

Sorry to say but they're still on for a clean sweep, lets not get carried away with out last 6 weeks or so performances, we're in a rich vein of form, and we're close but they've been there and done that, we haven't for a generation.

They are 1 point ahead with a game in hand so over the season thus far they have been slightly better. We have both won games late on and both teams have had injuries to key players as well. We have certainly played better than them since early-mid march but equally they were better than us during January and February.

I still think the area we need to strengthen compared to them is greater depth in our squad in particular in our attacking positions.

Why then have they not scored more goals than us? One game fewer but 5 goals fewer too. Hardly indicative of depth in their attacking psoitions

Trying to be as unbiased as I can, I put us 6 players to their 5 ahead that would make a joint team. (I had to push Gerrard either wide left or right to shoe horn potatohead in).

Well they're a point ahead, with a game in hand - so that's a stronger argument than '5 more goals'.

They're doing better in the league, the league cup, the fa cup, the champions league and are far richer than us. Anyone who genuinely thinks we are better is probably a cretin. There isn't much between us but at the highest level, every slight improvement takes a massive effort so we're still quite a way off.

What puzzles me is why they are better. How can a team with regulars like ji-sung, fletcher, carrick and hargreaves be doing so well. They'd be subs at best at any other premiership club. Add to that the average Tevez, over rated rooney, and geriatric van der sar and their success must all come down to the man we hate the most. Ferguson.
