The response was directly to a claim that they were stronger "in attacking positions". 5 goals fewer does not, I repeat, demonstrate that they are stronger in attacking positions, quite the opposite. That we have scored more goals than them while our main striker has missed nearly half the league season would tend to show that we are stronger in attacking positions

If you look again I think you'll find that we have actually scored more league goals than them (59 to 54) as well as having a better goal difference (38 to 33).

There is also a huge disparity in their goal scoring record depending on playing home or away. They have only scored 20 goals in 16 away games. If you take away the 5 they got at WBA (no big deal as the league's whipping boys have conceded 63 goals this season) they have only scored 15 goals in their other 15 away games.

I find it very easy to discount Craig's argument

My argument was never that they're better than us in a goalscoring sense.

Overall though, we've got 2 players capable of scoring lots of goals for us, they have 4. You can certainly question how well each respective front line is performing, and it's beyond doubt that our pair of SG & FT have performed better this season.

because as far as i can see 'lots of goals' = Ronaldo and we have stevie G and torres
