Yes it is very frustrating but it was only 3rd game of the season and with the little bit of luck on our side we could have had 2 goal lead after first 15 minutes and the final outcome of Villa game could have been quite different.

Given some many ties last year at home 1 "unlucky" loss will not make us or break us as long as all players realized the sense of urgency and they will..

If we put ourselves on the winning streak beginning with Bolton we have no reason to think that this will not be our season (Couple of wins will breed confidence and that is what we are presently lacking).

Don't forget after Christmas last year we had 10 point lead and we still did not win in the end. It is a long and grueling season and 2 early losses may not mean much..

United wont win it either. The benchmark this year will be Chelsea. I think (and hope, given that i dont think we'll do it) that they win it.

Also Chelsea started off well under scolari last year...........

The mancs also won about 12 in a row. We'll need to do the same.

Man it's the way we're playing as well, we look lost.
There seems to be a distinct lack of belief in this Liverpool side.
After how strongly we finished last season i thought we'd really kick on.

Difference between now and last season is we got the breaks and the late goals then. Still played ****e then too.

Now that rub of the green is not there.

I think Chelsea are defintely favourites, but ancellotti is the new tinkerman he has said it himself, thats great when your winning but lets see how they get on after a couple of bbad results

It doesn't really make a differance how us, ManU & Chelsea have started.

The first team to go on a run winning say 13 out of 15 games is likely to win it.

There is still plenty of time. Year after year ManU have started badly but picked up after november and gone onto win it. We have to take a leaf out of their book.

We played 38 games last season and lost two.

We've now lost two out of three and haven't looked good all through
pre season.


This was to be our season and although I'd like to share your optimism, things are going to be tough for us now.

Lets just hope we can turn this around, starting against Bolton.

We have been cack in pre season but it doesn't help when Rafa plays all the youngsters and only plays the likes of Torres for the last couple of games of pre-season. I don't agree that these guys are tired, they're all fit guys and should be able to play all year round. Bad bad decisions by Rafa.

Last season was our season that was our big chance to win the league and we messed it up, we fluffed it badly. We only have ourselves to blame for that. I'm afraid we're going to lose a lot of games this year guys I'm sorry to have to say that but it's true, in fact I'll go as far to say that we probably won't even finish in the top four.

Villa aren't **** they're a decent team, we just played ****, it's our own fault really. Before anyone says that I'm taking it out on Rafa I'm not. I love the man and he will bring the league back to this club one day but the bulk of these errors are his and he has to take responsibilty for that. The display's against Spurs and Villa were utter dross so the players should also be held accountable for that too.

Rafa needs decent backing so that he can buy who he wants and what this club deserves. At the moment that is not going to happen guys.

To be fair, we stunk the place out in the early stages of last season but managed to grind a few wins out, mainly thanks to the brilliance of our two best players, and built some momentum. This time the luck isn't with us. That's football.

We haven't become a bad team overnight and we'll click at some stage of the season, whether it will be too late remains to be seen.
