Mate, we were ace at Spurs last season & had we lost -even at home- in that manner, it wouldve been a far more inspiring game than this. The Scum turned their poor performances to wins last season, we arent even getting the draws we clawed back this. I am trying to balance pessimism with positivity, but being very worried seems pragmatic right now.3rd place. Worst champions ever.

They will grind you down mate but for me you have 4 pints of Guinness anywhere in the world on tab mateOriginally posted by npinn001 View PostYeah we played garbage and something needs to change, but i could tell 10 mins in it wasnt to be our day, like spurs last year.
We still have Aquilani, and Riera, and Aurelio to come back from injury, 3 new players.
We are 1 point behind where we were in the same fixtures last year.
United were crap for longer than this last year and still won.
Move on, support the lads.

i understand your hurt mate and whilst most of me screams give him what for .. I hear you .. but football is a funny game .. we are a class side ..**** has gone astray and we have been unlucky .. injuries and a back 4 that are getting used to each other .. but we will be there or there abouts .. we need other teams to **** up now which is never ideal .. but out of the top four I would still say we are sitting strongest right nowOriginally posted by anfieldanfield View PostLeague is over. My opinion is this. A team will never win the league early on, but a team can lose it.
I am 100% confident we will win the next four league games. I will then assess the table and will be in a much better position to see where our season is heading. By that time there could have been a few more suprises for our rivals and we will also know if anyone has gone out and made a big late splash in the transfer market.
We will then head into the Chelsea game knowing what we need to do to get our title challenge back on track. At present I would say it's best to look at it and say we're seriously off track. But four wins and maybe we can get back on track.Forwards.......

Very disappointed with the level of the performances thus far. True we have lost 2 games - but by the end of the weekend Man ure could be in the same position - we just have cut down on our margin for error towards the end of the season!
We need to get some fluency into our attacking play, maybe that will come with Aquilani, but in the meantime we need our attacking players to step up the plate.

Jesus man, you want to try supporting any other of the 92 league clubs barring ManU, Chelsea or Arsenal.Originally posted by Marky View Post[/B]
Why?
I'm bored too, bored of us never ****ing winning the league.

How many times will this team dominate a game and lose like this? I can't take it anymore we are an absoutely infuriating side to support.
I do want to say, though, that our LB and RB have been outstanding; Well done Johnson and Insua, but the spine of the team has gone missing; Cara, Gerrard and Torres need to do much much better. We miss Alonso; Lucas plays too deep and plays the short simple ball into the middle whereas Alonso spread the ball wide quickly. In lieu, Mascherano is now spreading the ball around from the point, which is not going to work (although no questioning his effort... he was very good tonight).
I say move Benyaoun in the hole behind Torres, play Riera out wide, slide Gerrard back in front of Mascherano and Kuyt on the right. Just infuriating to watch this... seriously..."Our legacy begets an excellence that surpasses the particulars of who produces it." -- David Carr

Yeah, I know that, but stamping our feet and crying like small children as soon as things start to go against us is not really what being "Liverpool FFS" is all about either is it?Originally posted by pondus View PostI guess we are all pretty ****ing bored of not winning the league? Don't get me wrong, I'm as pissed off as anyone by the start we've made this year, but we could at least try to maintain a little dignity in defeat.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
