Would they though? They'd lose a lot of money due to a dip in the clubs valuation and I think that they'd be stubborn enough to sit it out.Originally posted by PTP View Posti'd agree - had a similar convo last, i think the yanks are in the 'business minds' doing enough of a bare minimum to keep us in the top four so they can just milk champions league revenue - if we ell out of the top four they would have to sell

well apart from you are depressing the **** out of peopleOriginally posted by carheex View PostThere's no harm in speculating what might happen - this forum is full of speculation. What I am debating is perfectly plausible and could easily happen. Besides, no offence but no one's making you join in on this thread.

maybe? i don't know what these yanks are capable off - i think, and i am sure i have read this about their business track records - that they look to have something while it makes money and they will jump ship when it's not.Originally posted by carheex View PostWould they though? I think if we dropped out of the champions league they would cut their losses, sell us off for whatever they can, and move swiftly on to their next venture and ruin thousands of more lives!i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Read the title of the thread: "Worst" case scenario. Apart from that speaking for itself, the content is obvious so any suicidal/depressed types only have themselves to blame if they read the thread and continue to participate in it.Originally posted by red g View Postwell apart from you are depressing the **** out of people

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I have actually wondered how come the owners can take such a risk as to not back Rafa this summer. The competition for the top four will be immense, City and Tottenham will challenge and they might succeed actually. I don't know what their back-up plan is in case we don't make it but I considering how they have acted I would think they'd sell some top players before selling the club.
They are only in it for the money, nothing else, that should tell us something.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Thats the scary thing though, I dont think Hicks would sell, he would be like a gambler and keep diging us into a bigger hole trying to fix the situation. The only way he will sell at a loss is if the club gets completley destroyed and he has to spend a dollar of his own to keep it. And the fans are the ones keeping him here so sooner or later people will have to realize that a sacrifice will have to be made to get rid. I personaly think with a couple of home games with an empty stadium he wont be long leaving, We might aswell loose in an empty stadium than loose when there full like we will more and more while these Scammers are in charge.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostIf we didnt qualify for the CL, surely that would be the last straw for the yanks.
I'd certainly hope so anyway. It'd reduce the value of the club immensely and they'd (hopefully) see any kind of profit as the best way to cut their losses and **** off.
If someone guaranteed me that it'd see the end of these cunts, i'd sacrifice finishing in the top four.Last edited by kingfunk; 25-08-09, 10:46 AM.
