I think we could get relegated this season.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Of course, despite us having a poor start, I still see nothing to suggest that Tottenham and Villa have made enough significant signings to finish higher than they have ever done before in the prem. And I personally don't think that we are any weaker than last season. And City will take time to gel those new players in before they can seriously be considered as CL hopefuls. It's not all bad - not yet.

We would just have to sell a few players to recoup that or maybe G + T would walk if this happened. I think its massively over the top to say non CL qualification would ruin us.
Sell Torres next season and we would probably get 70million..........
So having sold 30m worth of players, we'd struggle to qualify the next year, and then we'd have to sell another 20m of players. Wouldn't take long until we'd be looking to buy Jody Morris on a free.

"Through me the way into the suffering city,
Through me the way to the eternal pain,
Through me the way that runs among the lost.
Justice urged on my high artificer;
My maker was divine authority,
The highest wisdom, and the primal love.
Before me nothing but eternal things were made,
And I endure eternally.
Abandon every hope, ye who enter here."
And like that… he's gone

Neil, let's not do this. Why even bother to step in and post that?Originally posted by Neil Young View PostLeave it out please, mate.

Aside from the forum rules and restrictions, people should be able to post as they wish, and the thread title is hardly misleading. People can see what it's about so if they dont like the tone of the topic, they can ignore it.
What possible objection can you have to that?

By what I have read it seems the Yanks had to pay off £60m of the debt this summer as they were refused the same size loan.Originally posted by carheex View PostTheoretically, what would happen if we didn't qualify for the CL this year and the club didn't change ownership?
I'm thinking about what happened to Leeds.....if anything, it could be even worse for us. When Leeds were flying high there wasn't such an emphasis on spending multimillions in order to gain some success. Leeds also didn't have the huge debts hanging over them where interest payments alone are wiping out all the profit.
The next 12 months are going to be very interesting...
If every summer we were forced to pay off £60m of the debt we would eventually come to the point where are debts were wiped clear.Forwards.......

Could be a good thing. No Benitez, no primadonna attitude. Back to basics and bring the club back on it's founding principles.Originally posted by Jaymo View PostNo CL qualification, means we wave goodbye to too much money.. Rafa Benitez.. and players the likes of Torres, Reina, Gerrard etc. We are left with a squad of youngsters, and a new manager with no money to spend.. taking us back about 7 years.. and having to start again.
