Thanjk you.

I'll be delighted to see them back, especially if they can stay fit.
People (mainly the media) bang on about our depth and point to our bench at Spurs, but as i've been saying all along, when you've got 5 established players out, you WILL look a bit bare. With Riera back, Dossena available and Aurelio & Agger to come, the situation will look much healthier.
Add Aquilani to the mix in a couple of weeks, and suddenly we're much stronger.
Is he that close to playing ?, really hope so, this break has come at a great time, Rafa likely took into consideration that part of his re-hab would be eaten up by the international break.

It was a figure of speech, sorry. More than a couple of weeks, i expect it to be early-mid october before he plays.
His positioning is still pretty poor, just get the feeling he is playing too much football at the moment.
Hmmm, can't say I've noticed that to be honest. I always keep an eye on him because I watched him in the reserves and couldn't work out what all the fuss was about. He's certainly exceeded what I thought he was capable of already.
Have to say i'm not convinced by Insua as yet, think alot of Liverpool fans hype him up a bit much tbh.
Aurelio gives us more imo. Was one of our most consistent players last season.

He's certainly not as good as the hype, but watch closely, he's getting closer and closer to it as time goes on.
I agree Aurelio has more quality at the moment, but you wonder has he got the engine to get where he needs to be to make it count. It'll be interesting to see if he gets as advanced as often as Insua has been once he's back. That was my issue with him before, but maybe it was a tactical thing, the full backs definitely have license to get forward now, so maybe it'll be different.
That was very noticeable last season, his tendency to lose track of what was going on around him was way too regular for my liking. But I've been keeping an eye out for it and it's not happened so far. That was the only weakness I saw. Did you notice others?
Did we not win 10 and draw 1 of 11 games when he played last year?
Although I didn't really pay close attention to the finer details of his performances, I was always extremely impressed every time I watched him play.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Really? He looked fantastic in the reserves at times, not every game of course. One thing I'm waiting to see in his first team appearances is the quality he brought going forward. He's not really shown what he can do in that regards for me.
For those who didn't see him in the reserves, think of the impact Johnson is having on games for us and then times that by 5. Obviously Insua was playing against lesser players when he was doing this mind.
Bit there is a lot more to come from Insua in the final third.

I was always impressed too and reading back what I wrote I do make it sound like he was a liability when he clearly was not (apart from the one goal in the Hull game I think it was).
I have to admit I tend to notice all deviations from perfection and with him once or twice a game I'd note him ball watching when a cross came in and someone was sneaking in behind him. The cross was over-hit so no biggie. A couple of times he did the deer in the head lights thing. Like I say of no consequence to the result but just the kind of thing a pedant like me picks up on. Especially one who was so wrong in his initial assessment.

Yeah, It's actually something I've been trying to work out how I could have gotten it so wrong. I will say the manure game where he was skinned more than once, by Eagles I think it was, probably weighed more heavily than it maybe should have.
I think I also naively discounted how being surrounded by weak players can have the affect of amplifying your own weaknesses because the covering defending in the reserves games I watched, thinking back, was awful.
Hmmm, I obviously saw him as a defender too, because aside from that Cruyff turn he did on the 1/2 way line, I can't remember very much about him in an attacking sense (a couple of wide shots aside).
