    RAFA PLEASED WITH AQUILANI PROGRESS
    Paul Eaton 01 September 2009

Rafael Benitez today revealed new signing Alberto Aquilani is making good progress in his recovery from an ankle injury.
The Liverpool boss isn't putting a timescale on when we'll see his new signing in action for the first time, but he admits Aquilani is improving as he continues to work under the guidance of the Reds' medical staff at Melwood.

"Alberto is improving," said Benitez. "We were talking before about six to eight weeks and after a few weeks his ankle is much better but he will need time.

"He's in the swimming pool and in the gym and working with the physios but he's not jogging yet.
"We cannot put a date on things and it's important to just see how he progresses.

"We are checking on him regularly and he had a scan in the past week which showed he is much better.

"It's just a case of keeping an eye on him every day. When he does start to play everyone will see what a clever player he is."

I guess we'll be seeing him in November then.

He's the new Agger, he'll never be fit

It'll be "six to eight weeks" after another month too.

Unfotunately things aren't looking that good IMO if he can't even bear enough weight on his ankle to start light jogging. So I need to push that November date back to December at the earliest unless Rafa is trying to play down expectations.

If he start jogging in two weeks it will be light jogging then he will have to do more conditioning then start kicking a ball etc all of that will possibly take 8 weeks from the start of his light jogging especially since he hasn't played since March.

It said he's pleased with the progress. It doesn't say there has been any set backs and from what I can gather the goal posts have not changed on the six - eight weeks originally said.
          Forwards.......

thanks mate, i agree with you. i mean i dnt see why People call him ****.

why dont they also pick on the senior players who have been **** too?

I dont see what he did thats so bad. I think hes the only one that gave a **** during that spurs game along with Benayoun and johnson.

Ok he did concede some silly freekicks in the past games.. but hes what 22 ? this is the first time hes had a proper Run in the team and he needs some experience.

Look at Darren Fletcher. He was **** before now hes the most important man in the Manu team.

it doesnt help when dickhead keep calling you **** and use you as a scapegoat.

some people are really just ****ing Idoits and shouldnt call themselves fans.

                      Three things.

                      1) AA isnt a manc. Dont be stupid.
                      2) Fletcher isnt Man Utd's most important player.
                      3) It's painfully obvious why Lucas gets stick when he's poor and Gerrard doesnt on the rare occasion that he's poor.
