Got to be Barnes against QPR at Anfield for me, late 80's I think took the ball from the halfway line, past 3-4 players, lovely.

Ah! that was a classic...think it was 1987....QPR were league leaders (although we had a couple of games in hand) and Barnes scored a brace.Originally posted by BigRedGot to be Barnes against QPR at Anfield for me, late 80's I think took the ball from the halfway line, past 3-4 players, lovely.
Doesn't count for me though. I was only 4 then and only became a Liverpool fan when they started playing with those cool candy speckled shirts..."In fact I’m going to make a promise which will be welcomed by many. If there’s no finance secured by the opening day of the season, I’m going to hang up my keyboard and close KOPTALK down."

So many
I love Fowler's shot against Villa, Stan Collymore's last minute winner in the first 4-3 against Newcastle and then Fowler's the following year. McManaman's mazy runs for goals I think against Celtic and Villa. Fowler beating Schmeichel at the near post, Redknapp's free kick when Blackburn won the title at Anfield, Barnes and Beardsley against Everton in the 4-4 draw in the FA Cup, Barnes against Southampton when he hit a bad keeper clearance first time into the net.Last edited by saveferris; 24-07-06, 11:09 PM.Quit your jibber jabber!!!
Jermaine, you know the song Billie Jean...is it about the tennis player??

Barmby header at the Anny Road End in 2000. I took the Mrs back home for our honeymoon, it was her 1st Derby match ever and Nicky ****ed the header right in front of us. Beauty.
There's many down the years but that stands out a bit more cos it was a special trip.
ps:THE REDS won all 3 matches that me mrs watched at Anfield.

alec lindsay against newcastle in `74
great overlapping run on the left flank
stunning shot and goal
one of the best goals that never was
disallowed in error by the officials
' He has football in his blood ' said a scout who was trying sell a player to Liverpool. ' You may be right ' Shanks said, ' but it hasn't reached his legs yet '
