just been watching sunday supplement and I have to say its ****ing depressing.
They all seem to think that rafa's reign is over and especially if we lose today. Not qualifying for the CL next season would see the empire crumble.
If we lose today then things are going to be very very difficult for rafa and the whole club. Worse still, if we lose against arsenal on wednesday night at the emirates then we could see rafa sacked.
We have so many big games coming up and its such a shame that we are so low on confidence.
If rafa is to go down as another legendary manager then this is it. We have to deliver against united and turn this season around today.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

from the beeb:
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has been handed long term job assurances by the club's managing director ahead of Sunday's game with Manchester United.
Pressure has been mounting on the Spaniard following a miserable run of four successive defeats.
But Christian Purslow told Sportsweek: "Liverpool are on a long term journey and you do not do that by worrying about short term results.
"Rafa Benitez is absolutely central to that long term plan."
Despite an impressive start to the season, the Reds have plummeted to eighth in the Premier League and are wobbling in the Champions League, with some reports suggesting Benitez could be sacked if they lost Sunday's match with United.
However, Purslow, appointed in the summer, believes the club will turn things around and guaranteed that Benitez would still be in charge at the end of the season, regardless of trophies won.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I thought that was just your preferred team, was going to say you were spot-on.Originally posted by Sheik Yerbouti View PostDid you mean that as a question or were you confirming that it is actually the team today? If the latter, I know, that's why I posted it.
