I'd probably agree with that, Babel is the only experienced player we have. I'd put Benayoun off Torres and play Babel wide and hope he can offer something from wide(ish) positions

Is Rafa really resting all our main players or is there some bug going throughout the squad? Strange as they were rested in midweek. We are a bit pedestrian in our passing. Benayoun should be played in the middle as I don't see Voronin having the confidence to try something.

I'm sure they'd play if they were fit. But I hope he is not resting them with Lyon in mind. Foolish if so. We need to beat Lyon, but we also need to beat Fulham.

Pepe has had nothing to do except pick the ball out of his net. The greek has been ordinary and caused the goal with a wayward header. Carra is very shaky, looks unsteady and his distribution is pathetic really. Degen is getting forward a lot and linking well with Kuyt. Insua is doing the same. Defending is shaky again though. As the senior player Carra needs to step up here.

Masch has been good, Lucas has been invisible. Voronin is poor. This game does not have enough space for him, but if it opens up, who knows.

Torres scored with a half chance, on the volley, when the ball fell to him on the edge of the area. Benayoun has been our best player by a mile. Twisting and turning and creating things. Great control and unlucky to hit the bar.

We can win this, but the defence needs to man up. They are all over the place.
