    Pompey (a) match thread

Fernando Torres and Glen Johnson both return to Liverpool's starting line-up for this afternoon's clash with Portsmouth - listen live from 12.20pm GMT.

Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Insua, Agger, Carragher, Mascherano, Lucas, Kuyt, Dossena, Gerrard, Torres. Subs: Cavalieri, Aurelio, Benayoun, Babel, Ngog, Spearing, Skrtel.

Dossena is a bit of a surprise.

I wish we had a settled back 4/5

a big lack in creativity in that line up.

doss probably in the shoping window today, for a potencial move in Jan?

In fairness that does now seem to be our first choice back 5. Personally I would have Aurelio in there, but that seems to be Rafa's first choice and now Johnson's back hopefully it will be the same back five for a run of games.

I don't like Dossena, but in the fiorentina game he looked impressive. He's lost a bit of weight and looks like he could be quite dangerous.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Isn't agger, carra, inusa and johnson pretty much our first choice right now??

I think Dossena is going to play LW

It's first choice perhaps but how many times has it played together in a row? We seem to have a different back four every match.

So does Aquilani getting injured prove Rafa's been right to ease him back in?

I was kinda hoping we would continue playing 4-4-2 like we did wigan in midweek - we seemed like a much better team that way besides the conceded goal.

Will be interesting to see how we will do back in the normal system with only one striker.

Torres alone should be enough to destroy them. They're a mess of a team fortunate enough to have a manager who seems to know what he's doing.
