The Serbia international, now with Standard Liege, who has signed a pre-contract at Anfield and will be confirmed as a Liverpool player on June 1, said:

"They might have had a poor season, but Liverpool are still Liverpool.

"I really see this as the place where I want to be.

Wiki: Jovanović made his debut with FK Vojvodina during the 1999–2000 season. He spent most of his early career at Shakhtar Donetsk and Lokomotiv Moscow, before arriving at Standard Liège in 2006. At Standard Liège Jovanovic quickly became a fan favourite scoring 14 goals in his first season and earning the nickname "the snake" for his fast movement. [1].
