People always bring this up. It was a bad tackle but you see that sort of tackle get a yellow card quite a lot. It was uncontrolled and badly timed. If they were all red cards then no one could complain but they aren't and as such I think we are a tad unlucky. That said it was a tackle that didn't really need to be made and that has been one of the problems with our defense this season - giving away cheap fouls.

I'd be interested to see how many times serious injuries did result from those tackles actually. I've seen a large number of occasions when well executed or 50:50 challenges have resulted in bad injuries.

stevie has been **** but you can hardly blame him when he gets absoloutely no support from the mash / lucas abomination that is our midfeild pairing. every time he touches a ball there is 3 players on him and no support other than a willing torres. we are so badly a 2 man team and it's starting to show the strain on the pair of them. wholesale changes are needed in january.

as the best player and captain, maybe he should be taking more of the blame as he is our talisman and been the worse player out there to many times recently

Stevie's at fault as much as any this season, but if we can count on anyone to turn us around then its him. **** waiting for Rafa to motivate the team Gerrard can be just as capable in ANY position, this is still the same player that dragged us to number 5 and destroyed West Hams dream basically on his own! Yet he is best taking the ball on the run. Is he demanding the ball at the wrong time, not making the runs, or despairing of getting the ball if he makes the runs? I had thought it was mainly first two.

I tell you the amount of times i noticed the team just not giving the ball or giving the wrong ball at the moment is unreal, seems to be a lack of intelligent play we are far too predictable and we only come to life when Benny gets on the ball or Stevie wakes up and remembers we are trying to win the ****ing Lg
