I am serious, yeah. I didn't see it that way at all. It was the laughably OTT reaction of the Portsmouth players - notably Michael ****ing Brown of all people, the gall of the manOriginally posted by cream View PostAre you serious, he could've snapped the guys leg, it was ****ing terrible.
- that got him sent off IMO.

It was a bad tackle but you see that sort of tackle get a yellow card quite a lot. It was uncontrolled and badly timed. If they were all red cards then no one could complain but they aren't and as such I think we are a tad unlucky. That said it was a tackle that didn't really need to be made and that has been one of the problems with our defense this season - giving away cheap fouls.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI am serious, yeah. I'd be interested to see how many times serious injuries did result from those tackles actually. I've seen a large number of occasions when well executed or 50:50 challenges have resulted in bad injuries."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

That's bollocks frankly. It's about time £120K a week Gerrard actually looked like he's prepared to start earning it. He hasn't had a single good performance all season and might as well have been sitting at home for all the good he was yesterday. He was just shocking. I know he's had an injury but surely he's over it now.Originally posted by brightred View PostI have to agree with that. Gerrard is going on 30, must be incredibly pissed off with the way things are going.
Rafa has had his day; unfortunately it was in 2005.

He's doing more ****ing up than most. Lazy, can't be arsed performances all season long. Apparently something like 12 games since he last scored in open play and he strolled round the pitch yesterday in second gear, never threatening to end that unimpressive recordOriginally posted by Robbie-fowler999 View PostI think he doesnt believe in the team or the manager anymore. I dont blame him when everyone around him is ****ing everything up for the team he loves.

stevie has been **** but you can hardly blame him when he gets absoloutely no support from the mash / lucas abomination that is our midfeild pairing. every time he touches a ball there is 3 players on him and no support other than a willing torres. we are so badly a 2 man team and it's starting to show the strain on the pair of them. wholesale changes are needed in january.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

The Merseysiders' campaign can already be described as a failure following their exit from the Champions League at the group stages.
Rafael Benitez's team are also in a fierce battle to qualify for next season's European Cup as ahead of Sunday's crucial meeting with fourth-placed Tottenham they trail Spurs by four points.
A number of poor displays have led to suggestions that Benitez, who guided Liverpool to second in the Premier League last term, could be facing the sack, but captain Gerrard is in no doubt as to where the blame should lie.
"People have said our position is puzzling after last season's success. It's not puzzling at all. The table never lies, we haven't been good enough," he told Zoo magazine.
"We are in this position for a reason and it tells us that we really haven't been good enough, and the players have to take responsibility for that.
"All us Liverpool players have got to look at our league position, roll our sleeves up and get this football club back where it belongs, as far up the table as possible."
He added: "It has been hard to take this season, yes. We're all very disappointed with the way things have gone, especially after finishing second last campaign.
"There was a big belief we could go all the way. But now is not the time for hiding. We have to look at ourselves and put it right.
"We must aim for the top four, and that is something big to play for still. It's a priority now, as it always is at this club, for financial reasons and because all top players want to play in the Champions League, me included.
"I still think we can turn the corner. As captain, I've got to make sure that happens. It's fine looking at why it's happening, but we need to put it right on the pitch."
as the best player and captain, maybe he should be taking more of the blame as he is our talisman and been the worse player out there to many times recently_____________________________________

Stevie's at fault as much as any this season, but if we can count on anyone to turn us around then its him. **** waiting for Rafa to motivate the team Gerrard can be just as capable in ANY position, this is still the same player that dragged us to number 5 and destroyed West Hams dream basically on his own! Time to stop all this negativity and support him and the team now, this is when a supporter matters, any idiot can support a winning side.. time to show why we're the best supporters in the country i think.Vive la France

One of the things that has struck me is that, when gerrard gets anxious, he seems to receive the ball at his feet with his back to the goal more often....thus making it rather easier for 3 to surround him and for them to get the ball off him. Yet he is best taking the ball on the run. Is he demanding the ball at the wrong time, not making the runs, or despairing of getting the ball if he makes the runs? I had thought it was mainly first two.

I tell you the amount of times i noticed the team just not giving the ball or giving the wrong ball at the moment is unreal, seems to be a lack of intelligent play we are far too predictable and we only come to life when Benny gets on the ball or Stevie wakes up and remembers we are trying to win the ****ing LgOriginally posted by Paul12 View PostOne of the things that has struck me is that, when gerrard gets anxious, he seems to receive the ball at his feet with his back to the goal more often....thus making it rather easier for 3 to surround him and for them to get the ball off him.
