More or less the same rumour (not the source however) has been posted on here before.

he had a bit of a rep for being a pussy didn't he, with that and the fact that he's not played a proper game since March then maybe there is some truth in the matter. Maybe his confidence is shot and the fact that there is so much pressure on the team at the moment that he's ****ting bricks?

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

I thought Aquilani was a fascist?! I thought we'd signed an aggressive right winger this season

Something is not right about the Aqua situation..........if this is right, it simply beggars belief..

I hope big Jan was talking through a few too many "Britney Spears" here......

Watching him warm up against Wigan I did kinda notice something. He was told to warm up and did his thang on the touchline warming up. Then Rafa called him and he took a bloody age to go back to the bench and strip off. I remember thinking he'd maybe show more enthusiasm to get on the pitch. Didn't think a whole lot of it at the time, but I suppose it could tie in with this little rumour.

To be honest it could be the entire source of the rumour.
