    Johnson Injury Update - .tv

Liverpool have today confirmed Glen Johnson suffered a medial ligament injury to his right knee during Tuesday night's 1-0 victory at Aston Villa.

The Reds' defender was assessed by the club's medical team at Melwood earlier today and underwent a scan which revealed the extent of the injury which forced him to limp off after 88 minutes at Villa Park.

A club spokesman said: "A scan today has revealed a tear in the medial ligament in Glen's right knee. The player will see a specialist tomorrow, after which we should be able to more accurately determine the length of his rehabilitation period."

Ah **** sake, we don't have great cover at right back either.

Johnson hasn't looked properly fit this last few games though, not as pacy as games before.

2/3 weeks at most. Medial ligament damage isn't that bad.

I mean, it's a fairly frequent knee injury and is nothing compared to a cruciates. Maybe I'm a bit simplistic but I fairly confident he won't be out for more than 3 weeks, at worst 4 weeks. With the FA Cup coming around next, he's got a little bit of time to recuperate.

Will miss the Spurs match most probably though.

Hopefully, depending on the severity of the tear though it could be anything from 3 weeks to 3 months.

              Fingers crossed it's minor.

Why do i not think it will be minor.

                  Neigh.

I worry too many of our players are seeing this horse doctor, could turn us into a team of 'hoofers'.

For your govern, he only treats muscle injuries.

He could see it by a distance but he won't be able to cover that far for the Spurs game mate I'm afraid.

                            Not ideal.

Rafa will stick Martin in there.

Carragher is in for a stint at right back then.

Skrtel back in the frame to partner Agger?
