    Our left hand side...

...is so bad it makes me miss Riise and Kewell.

Insua and Aurelio were absolutely woeful today.

Our left hand side was no existant today in an attacking sense. Aureilo isn't creative enough to play on left side of midfield. We need Riera back soon.

I'd say we are up there with being one of the least creative sides in the league left and right is generally poor

There's 2 sides to every pitch and we was pish on the other too, At least we have options on the left , on the right we have KUYT...............was a piss poor performance again.....At one stage in the 2nd half his 2nd touch went about 40 yards ok so the left was poor but apart from Johnson the right side has been pish for a few seasons and yet the un-dropable KUYT still plays.......

aurelio is played there so someone can do insua's defending for him. He doesnt offer enough going forward and yet today even when he was holding insua's hand throughout the match insua still looked out of his depth against a championship winger.

There are posters on here who could give insua a roasting he is that poor - defensively speaking.

I see Malouda is ****ed off at Chelsea...surely he'd be an improvement down the left.

I agree that both sides were pretty poor today. Insua was woeful defensively too in the first half (though better in the second), as was Darby; but I thought they were both better defensively in the second half.

Aurelio was OK in the first half but awful in the second. He is of course another player having to play when not match fit. Today I counted only 3 fit first teamers playing in their proper position (Reina, Carragher, Kuyt), 3 unfit first teamers (Gerrard, Aurelio, and Torres), and 5 reserves (Darby, Skrtel, Insua, Lucas, Ngog). And we got the performance that those stats suggest.

I was disappointed with Aquilani's cameo too.

Aurelio at left wing? Insua at left back? Insua should be left back. Back home in Liverpool. Atrocious.

Aquilani was always going to struggle in a struggling team.

No thanks. He's decent but no better than Riera.
