    Benitez with a 100million .....

    we wish!!

But hypothetically speaking, IF our fabled sheik/saviours came to the rescue and invested massively into the club would you like to see Benitez given the chance to spend the money and have a real crack at the premiership or would you prefer to see the new owners bring in a new manager with money to spend on players of his choice?

I think that Rafa has a good record with big money transfers so I wouldn't have a problem with giving him the money, where we are at present we need to be spending money on first team players not squad players if we were to go for 3 or 4 players of £20m+ I'd be confident he'd make good signings.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Give it to a new manager.

I'd prefer it if Rafa could motivate the existing players instead of throwing more money at the problem.

If Harry Redknap and Martin O'Neill can get their ****ehouse teams to play well then why can't we?

I know I am not really responding to the question asked, but....

...please do not forget that if the Sheik buys into Liverpool by buying some of the shares currently in issue and currently held by G & H - which is by far and way the most usual way these things are done - 100% of the proceeds go to G & H and not a single penny goes to Liverpool.

Hadn't they already stated but they were going to issue more shares to get more capitol into the club?

Or was that just tabloid speculation? Read that much **** on this subject I've lost track.

I would say give it to Rafa but I would prefer to see his targets and then make the choice. It is apparent to everyone where Liverpool need real quality and I would like to think Rafa would see the same areas and target players accordingly.

They do get more capital into the club - they increase the equity capital and reduce the debt.

Really? Apart from Torres I'm struggling...

Keane, Babel, Aquilani (ok, a little early on that one!) - not exactly great success so far.

                      Mascherano I suppose.

You could add Alonso I suppose.

Torres, Mascherano and Alonso were excellent signings. Johnson looks promising, Aquilani is too early to judge. Keane and Babel were the only real failures, Keane we almost broke even on, Babel was a gamble on potential and was more mid-priced than top price (as was Alonso), Sad fact is now £10m will only get you a decent player these days
