Thanjk you.

Torres, Mascherano and Alonso were excellent signings. Johnson looks promising, Aquilani is too early to judge. Keane and Babel were the only real failures, Keane we almost broke even on, Babel was a gamble on potential and was more mid-priced than top price (as was Alonso), Sad fact is now £10m will only get you a decent player these days
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
Reina only cost £6m, so isn't really a big money signing
...although judging by what our current budget is...

rafa doesnt really waste money. if we sign pennant, its bcause we cant afford simao, riera cos we cant afford silva/mata, stelios cos we can't afford upson. get the drift?
when he is backed fully we see torres and johnson arrive. both top top quality for their positions.
rafa is very good at getting the most of what is at his disposal in terms of bargain buys and tactics. what he doesnt seem great at is motivation. that'll be his downfall if anything
I think I would, but we need CL money to help out the budget, so would need to be mindful of spending enough to ensure that. Think that's the reason the Yanks have not pushed the boat out in the summer.
Yeah, but if you're going to hold big money flops against him surely you should also include cheap money major successes in the balance column?
He's been as valuable as any big money signing.
I was just trying to illustrate my point on Rafa's successes at the higher end of the transfer market
