I honestly don't see anyone in the squad who would play a genuine two up top. Ngog is the only real line leading striker we have - we are bound to have a very split front two even if we have a nominal pair.

Essentially I thin any talk of these formations in this game is a bit redundant. given the personnel available the choice is essentially do we go with any specialist attacking wide players or use converted fullbacks/utility players in the wide areas.

Don't know if its been posted on here but tomorrow around 6-6.15 a load of reds plan to line the Annie road up to the shankly gates with banners flags including the big ones to give support to the players as they arrive to give them a boost before KO. Could also be used to let the spurs players know that the crowd are fired up for this one.

Great idea. I think it is going to be a cracking atmosphere tomorrow night and I really fancy us for this one.

Sounds great, but back ON the pitch, we're seriously lacking goal threat.

If Dan Agger's fit, we should play him up front

We can’t. He’s been training too long with Skrtel and Carra and lost all them goal scoring instincts he had at the beginning. We now have 3 CB’s that can’t score, Kyriakos will head down the same route soon too.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I think we should go for Riera and Maxi on the wings with Kuyt and Ngog upfront, gives us options an balance, as long as Riera is fit, otherwise I haven't got a clue.
              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

He creates tons of chances for Spurs and gets plenty of assists. Far better option that anything we have in our wide positions. You obviously haven't seen much of him
I'm guessing I've seen as much if him as you at least. Living where I do, I have several Spurs supporter good friends and they think he's lightweight, inconsistent and has a poor end-product, with only occasional flashes of proper ability. You obviously haven't seen as much of him as they have, so I'll take their opinion, thanks all the same

As eager as I am to see Riera back again, he needs to be eased in with a sub appearance or two. The last thing we need is him getting rushed back and getting injured again.

                  Reina
                  Degen Carra Agger Aurelio

                  Kuyt Lucas Mascherano Babel

                  Aquilani
                  Ngog

Or at a push, Agger at left back and Aurelio at left mid.

Ahhh right cheers. See if you had just said in the beginning that 'my mates think this' then I wouldn't have bothered questioning you.

Under your posts just write *somebody elses opinion not mine*

Do you ever concede any point or respond in a non aggressive manner?

I've got loads of spurs-supporting mates, and they've all been jizzing over Lennon this season. As have the press and his teammates.

He's been Spurs best player by far. The lightweight inconsistent player with no end product was Lennon to a tee, before this season.

                      Maybe you're watching old footage

                          The plot thickens---------

Ahead of Liverpool's league clash with Spurs on Wednesday night Benitez has confirmed that Babel has issued a swift apology and is back in the frame.

"He came to my office and apologised," said Benitez.

"He knows he has made a mistake and for me that is enough and I don't need to talk too much about this.

"Ryan will be in the squad because we have 20 players ready for the training session so it (selection) is between these 20 players."

Rafa doesnt usually do forgiving and forgetting. Desperate times perhaps.

Either that, or no fecker wants to buy Babel and Rafa realises that he may as well get some use out of him.

Desperate times indeed. FFS we need to play him or sell him. Stick him upfront, we got nothing to lose anyway no other real options. Maybe he might try to prove himself

What, and get injured? "Are you crazy?" (TM)
