Real nervous about this one, could see Kuyt and Ngog up front together, havent a clue who he'll play on the wings? Possibly a similar formation to Stoke with 5 defenders on the pitch!? I can't imagine Maxi playing from the start, especially with the way Rafa is with his match players needing to be at a certain match fitness.'The tide is very much in our court now.'

Your a bit too convincedOriginally posted by Tee View PostSaturday's game proved the players have the stomach for a fight and I expect Spurs will be (unpleasantly) surprised by what they see tonight. I am just convinced we will win tonight.
I have been disappointed too many times this season to have any kind of confidence. If the manager picks a team with attacking intent then we might be able to start to believe.

I think that Saturdays game, despite the massive kick in the teeth at the end, has restored confidence. With the Anfield crowd hopefully making it a cracking atmosphere and getting behind Rafa and the team it could really be the start of our season.Originally posted by -V- View PostYour a bit too convinced

I know we have had a few false dawns already but this just feels real. I just hope the team prove that right or I will look a right tit tomorrow!!!"Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

I'd think Babel would start on the bench. It's as a sub that he has done his best work and pace against tired defenders at the end of a match is always a good option to have.
I'd think Aquilani would start although whether in the central midfield pairing or off the striker I wouldn't like to guess.
I'm with Tee that a result today really does alter the complection of the league table and building off a decent performance against Stoke and the Villa game we could start to build from here. Obviously the season so far has been chastening and no one wants to predict a new dawn too early but I'm feeling more positive than I have for a while."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Probably No Huddlestone tonight for spurs, could possibly turn out with
Gomes
Corluka
Bassong
Dawson
Bale
Modric
Jenas
Palacios
Kranjaer
Defoe
Crouch
We need to dominate the midfield four and stop Kranjaer and Modric getting on the ball aswell as defending set pieces, both Kranjaer and Modric can deliver a great ball in.

On paper that's stronger than the side we'll be putting out tonight.Originally posted by Francis8 View PostProbably No Huddlestone tonight for spurs, could possibly turn out with

Hopefully Rafa and Redknapp don't have a game of Match Attack then.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostOn paper that's stronger than the side we'll be putting out tonight. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
