ok there's something i've noticed recently, well throughout the season, but it came to mind with the penalty that should have been awarded against stoke, and the yellow card that followed the incident.
has anyone else noticed that the referees offer no protection to lucas, and i mean absolutely none. brown's challenge against pompey, the amount of free-kicks against him, the red cards he's been given, all of this is very, very harsh on the lad, and i can't but help thinking, that we as liverpool fans have a part to do with that. ever since he came to the club, he's been under fire from his own fans, who have been saying he's ****e over and over again regardless of his performances, and that has spread to the media, and is now "a fact" as far as fans of other clubs are concerned - has this influenced the referees in some way? it's unbeliveble some of the challenges against him, and more often that not, refs ignore it, yet when he makes a slight challenge it's a foul, almost every time. i personally find it really annoying and i can only imagine how he must feel when he's treated like this.

to play with him who can dictate the attack and not have to worry about defending as mash has that covered. Oh what a midfield that would be
