I agree. There have been plenty of games this season where he has been the only one taking responsibility, looking for the ball. He runs and runs and runs. He tackles and tackles. He has played well in at least three different midfield roles....

...yet still people on here have a go the moment he makes a mistake or when he passes sideways (usually because no attacking player has created a passing opportunity ahead of him).

As I keep saying, there is only one other team in the EPL that is relying so heavily on a midfielder so young, and Fabregas is simply an exceptional player.

As things currently stand, there are plenty of things wrong with our team that need sorting out before we need to start worrying about Lucas.

I wish everyone would get off his back, no matter how he plays he still gets stick, he has probably been our best player this season.

I see what you mean about the decisions, I've looked at a few of the decisons given against him this season (not just bookings but fouls as well) and I can't help but feel they're a little harsh on him!

Lucas is one the only players that has been deserving of the Liverpool shirt this season, he was immense yesterday. Can't complain about refs not giving him anything when our own fans treat him like ****. Looks like he's been spending a lot of time in the gym too.

He hired a personal trainer and someone to teach him English, which he's learned super quick. Very, very impressive, you cannot fault the lad for effort and dedication.

I also thought he looked supremely fit the other day, seemed to have a spring in his step even right at the death.

Utter bollox. It was a clear cut penalty. All this going down before even making contact BS is all sky fed. You watch everything in a slow motion thats how it appears and no one runs with a straight back every one leans forward when they run and that's why it appears as if he's going down.

Either way jesus, the defender just rugby tackled him without even getting the faintest of touches on the ball so a pen anyway.
