Everyone knows my thoughts about Gerrard at the minute.

I counted at least 5 times last night when the ball failed to reach Gerrard as intended by Lucas, Maxi or whoever and he through his arms up as the Wolves defender nipped in and took the ball. Kuyt beside him ran his bollocks off to chase down the lost ball as if to make a point to Gerrard.

He also roared at N'gog(again) when he had declined to pass to him even though he was in a better shooting position himself...N'gog had more desire and fight in him coming off the bench then Gerrard had all game.

This bollocks "if only Aquilani had been playing, wee Stevie would have got more of ball" ffs stop making excuses for his **** form and **** attitude time and time again.
He got plenty of the ball last night and wasted if almost every time, not least when he took every single ****ing set piece.

The amount of appologising and excuses for the ****e performances he's put in this season shows how two faced we are as fans. The reason he was **** was Lucas blah blah ****ing wanky blah FFS!

The guy is currently injured and shouldn't have started or been on the bench, but it runs deeper than that, he needs a rocket up his arse.

The reason we play better wwithout him is we need to pass more. Stevie wants to b einvolved in evereything which is better than being scared of posession but from your senior player and captain you want him to encourage and bring the best out of those around him too.

Right now, as long as I could spend it all, i'd take 35mil for him.

I noticed this...very reminiscent of Henry with Fabregas a few seasons back. (Was it Fabregas he gave the withering stare and the pointing of where he wanted it?) Whoever it was - he was the captain demeaning a young colleague very publicly. Familiar?

Really good point. Didn't Wenger confess that one of the reasons he got rid of Henry was the fact his more talented younger players were inhibited by Henry's presence on the pitch...and that he thought they'd flourish in his absence?

I hate to say it but I'm very unhappy with Gerrard at the moment. Very. He's either not fit - in which case he should say so for the sake of the team - or he's not ****ing trying. Either way it's not right. His influence is definitely negative at the moment and you only have to look at our displays of late when Carra's skippered the side - cajoling, encouraging and helping those around him - and see the difference when Gerrard's in the side, with his brand of captaincy. There's no doubt in my mind the likes of Lucas, Ngog and others are inhibited by Gerrard.

We show so much more unity when Gerrard doesn't play, it's clear for everyone to see. Depressing.

never forgiven the cunt for tryin to leave after istanbul. We'd have won the premiership if he'd been such a gob****e in a pub last year( Phil Collins for ****s sake), Go and **** off to madrid for £45 million and I bet Liverpool will win the premiership next yr

Agreed. There has been some valid points raised about his performances, and perhaps his attitude this season, but when it comes to bile like that it's just utterly ridiculous and undeserving for a player has a been ****ing brilliant for us on the whole over his career.

Gerrard is a symbol of everything wrong with Liverpool at the moment. When things are going good he will be at the front of everything but when a poor team puts it up to us he usually disappears. On big european nights he usually was excellent but on too many days and nights against Wigan,Bolton,Birmingham he disappeared and could be seen walking around moaning. This just hasn't happened this season it is a big trend over the last 4-5 years. He would boss a game against a top european team then appear to be a lame lamb against some ****e team like Boro. His big attitude of let me take every free, corner really gets on my wick.

Gerrard has suffered alot of injuries this season and as we know this season is a basic write off so he should concentrate on getting fit for next season.
