I wouldn't say Gerrard is still the central midfielder he was. He is an attacking midfielder IMO like Kaka. and I find it hard to compare Gerrard to Xavi or Pirlo but as an attacking midfielder I think he is the best - when fit at least. IMO he is better than Kaka. I'm putting Messi and Ronaldo down as forwards though
