do you think jose could have us at least make a half decent challenge unlike the utter ****e that have had this season ?

No, he needed a lot of money to do it at Chavski. If he had the same monetory backing with us, yes he could do it, but then again so could a lot of managers.

We are in dire straights people seem to think with a new manager, £50 mill+ will mysteriously appear. This money would be on top of the £30 mill+ to pay off Rafa and others.

Basically Moores, Parry Hicks and Gillete have completely ****ed us. I am at a stage right now where I wish it had been us and not Portsmouth who have gone into administration. At least being at rock bottom you can build again. As we are now the life is slowly being sucked out of the club. It is a slow and painful death.

It is ****ing heartbreaking to see a club as big as Liverpool fc having to trawl the market for Bosman type signings, as this is all we can afford. It is tragic.

The only way out of this mess on and off the pitch is without Hicks and Gillete

With our squad, his motivational skills and the strength of character he'd put into the players, would have us challenging, i'm convinced.

Aside from that, it'd have us doing far better than Rafa is, under the same conditions.

I did not say anything about losing to the teams you have listed. What I said (and it is my opinion) Mourinho could not take this team to the title next year without spending money.

Your post implied that you think that under the current circumstances, nobody would do better than Rafa.

So i specified it down to some of our more shameful days, and asked if you think whether Mourinho wouldnt be able to do better than that. I think he would mate.

Rafa has been here a few years and who could blame him for having the life sucked out of him

1 thing i am certain about is .....the first sight of trouble that rafa has had to endure and JOse would have ****ed off imo.

I think its plain to see if anyone came in at lets say christmas they would have done a better job than Rafa over the last 3 months., new manager syndrome and all that.

What I will imply. If you gave me a half decent team and £150 mill for transfers, I could win the PL as a manager, as could many others, even possibly you

I have come to the conclusion you are "Craig no mates" and reply to threads with your intepretation of what is written rather than what is written, just to have people pay attention to you and interact with you

Personally (and all things being equal) I think he'd struggle to get 4th next season

I feel this summer is massively important for LFC

It ALL hinges on investment / change of ownership

No investment this summer will imo mean the club will be playing catch up for many many years to come and by catch up I mean chasing 4th nevermind challenging for the title

You only have to look at the amount of funds City, Spurs and Villa have invested over the last few years and even they are not guaranteed of finishing 4th

Agree that this summer is a real watershed- that is the financial and practical reality of it.

Sadly, I don't think we'll get that investment- namely because the Yanks are living in cloud cuckoo land and are stubborn and greedy as a mother****er.
