i agree that its partly to do with the money spent but its also about getting the balance of the team right and they seem to have found that.

I also agree that we have far too many players who are technically rubbish, have very little physical presence or can score goals. We are a two man team like we were in the days of houllier.

But if you gave this squad to pellegrini im certain we would start to play some decent football and actually try and attack. Its as much about the managers philosophy as about the players we have.

Even mourinho would do a decent job with the players we have.

If you gave this squad to pellegrino, he'd sell half the players.

The only way i would continue supporting Rafa is if he changes his philosophy and re-builds the squad this summer. There are players who can be sold, Kuyt, Babel, Benny, Riera, Lucas, Agger, Skrtel to raise money for better players.

Then Rafa has obviously told them to pass badly. We need a new man in who will tell them to pass well.

If we go out there to defend well, keep things tight and try and nick one then we wont commit players to attack. No one from midfield will try and run forward and we will start to pass the ball instead of trying to take players on.

This is the rafa way and this is the way he likes it. He is too stubborn to admit his 4231 isnt working and wont change it. Kuyt is a waste of a footballer and he doesnt add anything going forward.

Lucas is another passenger who isnt of the standard required to win titles. If this lad plays more than 20 games per season we wont win the league.

Whereas, if you set out to attack and take teams on then you play a higher line, you look to win the ball further up the pitch and commit your full backs forward.

We dont play football, we play anti football.

After 5 seasons in charge, the team should NOT be playing the way they did last night, is that really what he is capable of in five seasons? We need to change.

As for Martin O'Neill, no way, i cant stand him.

Torres and Gerrard were **** last night. That was one of the worst performances I've seen from a Liverpool side. Those players should hang their heads in shame.

To be fair to Torres, he couldnt exactly play well - every time he got the ball he had sod all movement from anyone and plus no one could be bothered to offer support. On the other hand, Torres was the only person moving into space down the channels trying to get something going prior to my first point.

You cant expect him to make something out of nothing all of the time.
