Wow - aiming for the stars this season!

We play dire football at the moment - Rafa for whatever reason has run out of ideas - it's sad but nobody is bigger than the club and it's probably time for some fresh ideas.

Confidence is very low and you can see this, we all know Rafa is not an arm around the shoulder manager and fair enough BUT he should be able to get the best out of the players.

Just a question Pete. When would you consider it that Rafa's time is up? Is it a time or performance based thing?

I asked him once before, what would it take for you to want a new manager. He said 'nothing' and reiterated that, whatever happened, he'd always want Rafa in charge - regardless.

When would you consider that your time was up at work? Same could be applied to Craig_H.

When week after week you were completely incompetent at your job and your decision-making was leading to failure week after week

You need to see the bigger picture and the bigger picture is that it's his first bad season and you can't be making rash decisions like that. Look at Newcastle, I can really see us going down that route if we sack Rafa. This won't happen though, he'll have to face a mass revolution of sorts by fans, which will never happen. He'll get it right.

Pete would still say he wanted Rafa in charge, even if he got us relegated.

Not in the league, it isnt.

How would we be going down the newcastle road? Utterly ludicrous comment. Houllier had 5 years. Rafa's in his 6th.

Who was the last newcastle manager that completed 5 years in the job?

What do you define as 'getting it right' and when will he 'get it right' ?

Are you suggesting this season was part of the master plan, all along?

The more time we spend out of the CL, the less likely (and the more difficult) it becomes to 'get it right'.

We won't be relegated under Rafa. You have to start accepting that he's got 4 years on his contract and he won't be sacked unless the fans turn massively against him, which is far to be the case. He still got the majority support.

Oh joy, we wont be relegated! Get that open top bus ready! You do make me laugh sometimes.

As for the fans' support - matchgoing fans are 50/50, i would say.

We've never been out of the CL with Rafa in charge. What an utterly pathetic post.

Ferguson got 7 years before finally getting it right and it's increasingly more difficult these days because of the competition. Moanhihno won't fare much better, despite his 'incredible' record, which is not so incredible after all judging by all the money he had.

Majority support? Your deluded mate, everyone can see the mess were in except you

50/50? Martin Tyler reckons he's still got the vast majority behind him.

You're the one who's deluded. What tells you we're are going to be relegated under Rafa? We've always been in the top 4 and competing for the CL every ****ing season he's been here. Get a grip.

Oh, well god bless the oracle that is Martin Tyler

I'm in a more informed position than Martin Tyler, regarding attitudes of matchgoing Liverpool fans, and i can assure you, he doesnt have the ;vast majority' behind him.

You also need to decipher the difference between singing to try and help the team, and the things that people actually say - as opposed to sing, en-masse.
