    You take the biscuit mate.

V never said we'd be relegated He said (quite rightly), that you brought forward the notion about us not being relegated, as if it was something to be proud of and celebrate Utterly laughable.

Purely hypothetically - if we got relegated, would you want Rafa to stay as our manager?

    Simply yes or no?

When did I say we were going to get relegated you complete lunatic? For me not challenging for the title is failure itself let alone finishing ****ing 6th or 7th ffs

Lec, every team in the Premiership can claim it has injuries and bad luck. Look at how Arsenal and the Scum played in the CL this week. I would argue that player for player we have as good a first team as either of them.

Arsenal were missing their captain and best player, and have been without their best striker for practically the entire season. Yet they are a couple of points off the top! With a team in which I would only count Arshevin and maybe Nasri as world class, they tore Porto a new one yesterday.

Everyone said that the scum were done this year after losing Ronaldo and Tevez, and yet they have got stronger and added only one player, Valencia, who is hardly world class. No matter what team they put out, they batter teams. We did that for 3 months in nearly six seasons, yet you are selecting that 3 months as the norm.

The lack of money does not explain how a team full of internationals can have performances like we've seen against Wigan, Sunderland, Wolves, Portsmouth, Reading and the like.

Injuries? Luck? We are certainly clutching at excuses now.

Ferguson got 7 years before finally getting it right and it's increasingly more difficult these days because of the competition. Moanhihno won't fare much better, despite his 'incredible' record, which is not so incredible after all judging by all the money he had.
Why is what happened from 1986-1993 remotely relevant to our plight now?

We're out of the Champions League NOW fredo, and we wont be in it next season. That means no money, no prestige of the top comptetition to attract the top players, and Man City taking our position, WITH money and then also with the carrot of CL football. Wake up and smell the coffee.

If we dont get in it next season, that's it for us as a top club, for the foreseeable future. But you dont care about that eh mate? Your support for Rafa Benitez Failing FC will continue, no matter how low he takes us.

People can certainly argue that we dont have the players to challenge for the title and that Rafa's not had the money to sign such players. Fine.

But who in their right mind is going to try and tell me that our squad/team is of a level, so ****, that we cant beat teams like Pompey, Wigan, Sunderland, Reading, Wolves etc etc.

Sorry I realised that after posting but I couldn't care to edit my post. Skimmed your post rather than properly reading it, which I tend to do normally, so interesting is your anti-Rafa bias.

As in response to Craig, it depends if after analysing the situation, I can see a direct correlation between us getting relegated and Rafa being responsible for it.

This is my last post to you tonight, but all i can do in regards to that comment is You're right, it's entirely possible that we could be relegated, and it could be nothing to do with Rafa whatsoever

                    Night bud.

Oh I completely understand that, I am not disputing any of this. I am just saying that I think Rafa can turn this over, I just don't want you (or any other cunt) to ram it down my throat though. Pedant.

To be honest, I given up all hope of us challenging for anything in the foreseeable future, as have most reds I know. At this point I'd be happy just to watch us pass the ball about with a bit of purpose.

Have to hand it to you, Pete, you are truly a loyal Rafa supporter . If he turns it around (and I hope he can, but I don't believe he can), I will give you enormous credit for sticking to your beliefs.
