Champions league? Fantastic that we won that. BUT in that situation again 3 nil down at half time, if that game was played again a million times from halftime we would not have won, remember rafa was forced into a tactical change because of an injury to Didi.

What else have we won in the six years? the FA cup and sweet **** all. Not good enough for liverpool FC.

Signings, Without doubt Torres has been his most successful signing, but even rafa himself will tell you that he thought it was a mojor gamble spending 20m on him at the time. His signings in the 10m bracket have been shocking to say the least, Revolving door transfer policy does not work.

His man management? Well thats there (or not) for all to see. His treatment of players who perform is quite hard to fathom.

Tactics? to defensive to ever win the league imo, The game against portsmouth was about the third time in six years iv seen rafa send out an attacking team, look what happened, we hammered them.
But for me all this is too little too late, and for the reasons above i would like to see Rafa leave in the summer. What I want is Liverpool to win league and european titles, Not doddle between fourth and second and there is one man who I think can bring that to Liverpool FC, allbeit he wont stay for longer than four or five years but he can bring us back to where we belong, the top of the league, Thats Jose.
This would be more bang on the money mate if we'd actually been half decent in the years prior to Rafa taking over. Maybe you forget that Liverpool have failed to win the league for 20 years now. GH had one good season where he won the treble, other than that we've had an FA cup in '92 and a couple of League Cups. Without thinking too hard, I make it we had about 5/6 seasons out of 14/15 where we actually won a trophy prior to rafa taking over.

Oh, I forgot "We're Liverpool" a club with a bottomless pit of money who out spend all our rivals and as such have a divine right to win every trophy every season.

Get a grip you day dreamer.

If you ask me should Rafa stay if we win nothing and finish 5th then my answer would be no. His minimum objective in my eyes is at least top 4, regardless of whether or not he has had injuries to deal with and not been backed properly in the market.

However, if we finish 4th AND win the Europa Cup, then I think I personally would be happy for him to have a stay of execution. He has reached the minimum target in the league, and whilst not doing the same in the CL (reach knockout stages) he has instead won a trophy, which is ample compensation for getting knocked out early doors.

There would still be a matter of never at any stage being in the title race, but for this it is worth going through the finer points and figuring out why it has gone wrong.

            -----------

As for some of your other points, they are ridiculous to say the least. Rafa got lucky in 2005? Well I can counter that and say he was unlucky in 2007. We were the better team for 90 minutes in that one and didn't deserve to lose. But that's football.

On Torres - He was a gamble, but Rafa took it and it paid off. Do you not think you should use his signing as something to praise Rafa for, not moan at him over it? Ridiculous.

As for your choice of replacement. Jose Mourinho is the only one I would even consider good enough to replace Benitez. Hiddink would not be a bad appointment mind.

However, people moan about our style of play, did you lot actually watch Chelsea under Mourinho? It wasn't pretty. In fact, it was the reason Roman booted him out of Chelsea, boring football.
            Forwards.......

Get a grip you day dreamer. Thats a bit gay.

I believe that its about getting the very best out of the squad of players you have at any given time.
I believe that Rafa is NOT getting the best out of his own team and thats largly down to his tactics and team "management".

If fourth is good enough for you fair play, You could do a parade around the city on your bike at the end of the season? You wont be joined by many.

There would still be a matter of never at any stage being in the title race, but for this it is worth going through the finer points and figuring out why it has gone wrong.

For what its worth I think Rafa will be here for another season (just to keep you happy) But we will be here again next season, saying the same old things, Rafa has not changed, same old tactics, not being able to turn over avarage teams, same old same old.

                  -----------

We were the better team for 90 minutes in that one and didn't deserve to lose. But that's football. The better team usually wins, No?

On Torres - He was a gamble, but Rafa took it and it paid off. Do you not think you should use his signing as something to praise Rafa for, not moan at him over it? Ridiculous. I used this for the same point you are trying to make allbeit the opposite view, the point been the purchase of Torres should not be used by fans to proclaim Rafa as a Genius.

As for your choice of replacement. Jose Mourinho is the only one I would even consider good enough to replace Benitez.( so you agree with this ridiculous point) Hiddink would not be a bad appointment mind. Yip my second choice too.

In fact, it was the reason Roman booted him out of Chelsea, boring football. I want our team to win the league titles, I dont want a showboating team, easy on the eye that wins nothing.

Who should be our new manager?

                    herin lies the answer:

                    Jose reveals contract clause
Special One could quit Inter for Premier League

Jose Mourinho has put the football world on red alert after revealing he has a clause in his Inter Milan contract that allows him to leave whenever he wants.

Inter's impressive UEFA Champions League elimination of Mourinho's former club Chelsea in midweek reaffirmed the Portuguese's standing as one of the game's brightest tacticians.

Mourinho renewed old rivalries with Carlo Ancelotti, a former coach of Inter's neighbours AC Milan, and once again came out on top.

At the game's conclusion Mourinho spoke of his fondness for Chelsea but strongly intimated a return to English shores with another Premier League club is a distinct possibility.

Having recorded title success in his native Portugal, England and Italy it had been thought Mourinho may fancy a stint in Spanish football but it seems his heart lies in England.

And news of his contractual situation could well see eyebrows raised in a number of top flight boardrooms.

Mourinho said in The S*n: "My future consists of doing my best until the end of the season, then we'll see.

"My contract is simple. I've got another three years, with a clause that allows me to leave whenever I want."

if he can leave when he wants, and if he wants to return to england, with fergiescum not looking likely to quit anyitme soon and city on record as saying they plan to give mancini longer contract, we should step in.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

No doubt City will be in for him and half the world cup.

How can anyone quote that rag and hope to get away with it I don't know. If he gives interviews to that newspaper, he should never ever be Liverpool manager.

It's fredo's secret ploy to leave Rafa as the only option

Under the current owners in the last 2 year Rafa has had nowt to spend. Im not sure about the first year as they have been here about 3 year i think. One **** season people should give him time. If you want him out and dissagree with his decisions then chant "Rafa out" at Anfield. Though i doubt it.
When we hang the capitalists they will sell us the rope we use.

I've just heard on the radio that Mourinho wants the Liverpool job, but only if the American owners step down, or there is significant investment.
