We have the evidence of his success with our very own eyes.

Its fine having the view that Rafa is the best man for the job but its bollocks to knock others for thinking/hoping someone else could do a better job. Let us not forget those that wanted Houllier to stay on forever, yet they were quick to take to Rafa once the CL came home.
Don't mind hope its the expectation I have a problem with. Sometimes it really is better the devil you know.

Changing managers every four years hasn't really done us any good so far. Has it?

I have to say I was happy Houllier went it felt a natural end to his term. With Rafa a feel there is unfinished buisness I think he will/should get at least another season.

That's all your opinion and you're entitled to it. Others are too though, even if it differs with yours.

There's no need to post complete and utter ****, like this:

If you think we will be able to replace Rafa with anyone who is A. better and B. Able to make us more successful, you are at best deluded or at worst plain stupid.

it wsant just about his basic salary Craig. Our tax is much higher and the new 50% tax would mean we have to pay alot more hence the word NET

No i know you werent, but PeteBest was seemingly enjoying telling me that i dont 'negotiate' his contracts for him, so i wouldnt know what figures were correct. Likewise, neither do newspapers or TV companies.

When i stated my opinion, i was told it was mere speculation, but i'd argue that journalists and reporters are also only able to speculate, no?

Yes i appreciate that, and i'm not for one minute suggesting we'd pay him the equivalent of what he's taking home in Milan.

But the main two points i'm making are that, firstly his income isnt just made up of his basic wage, there's sponsorship deals which he'd still be able to get if he came to us.

And secondly, of course there's the higher tax rate here, but as someone who's already minted, i dont think he'd turn down a job just because it's 'only' paying him £4m p/a and keep one where he didnt wanna be, because it was paying him £12m p/a or whatever it is.

He's rich enough for the money aspect to be very secondary in his priority list. He'd hardly struggle on whatever we'd be paying him, if he was LFC manager.

not sure that he wouldnt want closer to what he is on now than we currently pay

the only two possible reasons i can think of that he would want to manage us at the moment are

                a) he likes liverpool

                b) his ego to prove he can do it with not alot of money

None of us can be sure, that's why it's just opinions. Some seem to have a problem with differing opinions though. I've no problem with people thinking he wouldnt come to us, for whatever reason - that's totally their perogative. I disagree, but we're all entitled to express an opinion.

I've read plenty about him and how much admiration and respect he has for our club and our fans. I'd even describe it as awe, based on what i've read.

And the ego thing is another issue, i dont think he could ever envisage himself failing at anything, so i doubt he'd turn it down because of what a big job it is and how hard it'd be.

Considering his past record though? Goin on his past record what hes done previous im right your wrong! You see him changing? all of a suden hes gone from wanting millions borderline hundreds of millions to hardly getting £20million? Jose=money and money=Man City OR Real Madrid. Skint Liverpool FC? no chance. Even the Yids have more cash than we do!

So i have to agree with you then? Maybe you havent read some of the stuff he's said about Liverpool. Maybe he was given hundreds of millions at Porto, and i didnt know about it. Has he been given hundreds of millions at Internazionale? Erm...no. In fact, out of ALL his management roles in his career, he's only had hundreds of millions in ONE of them. So that makes it the exception, rather than the rule. Based on this, what he's done previously DOESNT suggest he'd insist on hundreds of millions. But hey, that's just my opinion, which i'm apparently not allowed to express...

Either i agree with you, or i'm wrong?

                      Night mate.

Get a banner mate, shout it from the ****ing roof tops. RAFA OUT JOSE IN, RAFA OUT JOSE IN, RAFA OUT JOSE IN, RAFA OUT JOSE IN,. Summit along those lines. You seem sure that Jose would come here if asked. Yes iv heard what he has said about us and some people would say he has a love affair with us. But, Your Jose Mourinho, Real Madrid, Man City and Liverpool come calling. Only two of them have money to BURN let alone spend! What would you do? Real Madrid with all that talent and so much more to spend tho with restrictions in place offcourse. Or Manchester City with a bottemles pit, money to burn, infact more money than Real Madrid and Barcelona and no limit basically. Or, Liverpool who are skint lint! yet i have feelings towards them, i have effection for them. On his previous? Liverpool? sadly no. Yes thats your opinion and thats mine, but you havnt giving me a reason to say Jose yeah hes a cert! he loves the club! hes a CERT! oh wait Real and City are sniffing round and are ****ing loaded! If you want a manager with a record, with previous then why not Lippi? his record pisses on Mourinhos and will be out of work in the summer, a freebie. Marcelo Lippi in my eyes is a better coach than Jose Mourinhio (his record proves that) and we can get him on a free after the world cup? you dont like that option? a man whos record pisses on the "special one" (my arse!). This topic can run and run and yes it intresting. But we seem to be forgeting something, Hicks and Gilett. They are skint and arnt selling anytime soon and IF they do it will be to there closest friend at the Rhone Group! Great. Jose, Fabio, Rafa, Marcelo, Josep, no matter who is in charge they will ALL face the same problems. H&G.

Then again maybe you dont understand that Jose Mourinho needs money to spend. £50million easy! Jose Mourinho on the BIGGEST contract any football manager as seen in history. Double Rafa who is touted for Madrid and always has been. Oh and on top of that, we are skint.

Where have i said he's a cert? Oh no, i havent, have i?

As for Lippi, if you think he'd be the best option, great. I dont.

Am i allowed to have my own opinion?
