Doesn't anybody remember our standing before Rafa took over Leverkusen and Basel were too good for us.
Rafa has had to put up with an absolutely amazing amount of interference with his plans for us and he's still here do you lot think Mourinho would? No way.
I know that i wont change your minds but as some people say just be careful what you wish for.
Well I don't know anything about your dramatic accusations.

I do know this has been a disasterous season and you get nothing for what you did in the past. The results have been ****, the performances have been ****, the players have been ****, the manager has been ****, the backroom staff have been ****, the transfers have been ****, the tactics have been ****.

I'll stick to what goes on on the field rather than whether he's a stand-up bloke off the field. It's what I can make a reasonable judgement on as I've never met the bloke personally.

There's always more than meets the eye.

Well said mate, all these people think we will get Moanio and half a billion quid, they are so so wrong. Keep Rafa and back him then watch him go.
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

and that, in a nutshell, is it.

rafa or mourinho are the top candidates in world football.

others are either too old (hodgson, hiddink) or laughably not good enough to compare to these two (oneil, mcleish)

"Back him or sack him" is the appropriate phrase here i believe.

To not back him and then sack him clearly shows that the problem cannot be put solely at his door.

What makes you think we will be able to 'back' rafa, if we cant back Mourinho?

Anyone watching watching SSN? There have been a few Chelsea and Manure fans emailing in saying that they hope this news does not mean we get Jose in the summer, as we could dominate England and Europe for years if that happened!!!

I also hope it does not mean we get Jose in the summer.

I suppose anything is possible now until the new owners are in place and state their intentions.

Of course you do! However if we have new owners who are willing to invest in the first team I may be willing to allow rafa one more season. I still believe that jose would do better with the squad we have now.

The thing about backing rafa, is a fair point but what i would also say, is that whilst we had a zero NET budget this season, he was obviously allowed to spend what he generated - and he thought £20m for Aquilani was a good deal.

So i'm a little dubious about the notion of 'back him' with more cash.

His transfer record is about 50/50, for me. Previously it was much better, but a couple of recent turkeys, one irish and one italian, have balanced it out a lot more.

well if this is true about new owners, then i want rafa to stay 1 or even 2 seasons. i want to see what he can make with M O N E Y !!!

Our new owners could be worse than the current ones for financing the team

As i said mate, he thought £20m for AA was a sound investment, so i'm slightly worried about what he'd do with more money.

it is fail for now, but it still can be turn out to be fantastic signing (but it's doubtful)
