Heard a few snippets over the weekend from an agent friend.

O'Neill had fully agreed to replace Rafa when it looked liked Rafa was going. This sparked all of the O'Neill to leave rumours that came from nowhere pretty quickly.

Rafa's stance changed and looks like he is staying so O'Neill had to publically deny all rumours and pledge loyalty to Villa.

All of the big boys are after Edison Cavani of Palermo.

And finally, there are huge rumours that United are well and truly financially ****ed and HAVE to sell Rooney this summer, and a star player every summer to satisfy the bank. Here''s hoping...

I heard Ian Hunter, reporter in Spain, talking on Talksport yesterday afternoon about the Spainish title run in and at the end they asked him about Jose going to Madrid .... He said that he is having talks about taking over Real next season but also had talks with an English Prem club, he said he wouldn't give the name but that they were in the Europa League next season, are up for sale and have ownership issues and that if they sort out the sale issue and have money available that he would drop all other offers, including Madrid, to take the Manager's position at this club .......

I've no doubt he would. Cant see our ownership situation changing in the near future but we can dream!

On the plus side he'll be available this time next year anyway if we're sorted.

Lerner came out today and said he will reject any approach from Liverpool for MON, he WILL be at Villa next season.
