I've said all along that Mourinho doesnt just look at LFC with respect, he looks at us with awe. He'd walk over hot coals to manage us and the only thing stopping him is the yanks. I dont base my views on hope or desire, merely on what Mourinho himself has said or written. I've read tonnes about him and he absolutely adores the LFC institution, more so than any other in terms of its size, heritage, prestige and honour.

Yes he's highly paid but every top manager is and i'm convinced he'd take a sizeable wage cut to manage us. After all, we might not be able to offer the same as Madrid, but it's not like we'd be paying him £20k p/a either.

I convinced that he says a lot of these things to intensify the media spotlight on Rafa because ultimately he sees him as as a threat in terms of managerial abilty, and cant get over us putting them out of the CL.

I think he wants LFC fans to want him as their manager because he feeds off that kind of adulation, and it helps undermine the position of Rafa with the media and LFC fans alike- such is his dislike of Rafa.

I dont doubt his pedigree as a manager, I do question whether he is right for us. If he does come it ll probably be on the back of some multi billion takeover and he ll get a wad of cash to spend. Money that i would personally rather be allocated to Rafa to spend after keeping us competitive through out the yank tenure.

If you look at Mourihnos team at inter Milan, it is just that a team.

Hes got Diego milito playing really well and the team is hardly packed with Superstars.

Do i think that he could win us the league with our current team?

the answer is yes.

he appears arrogant, obnoxious, a poser, pretentious and we all want to see his downfall, but at the end of the day he's a winner. He is not as tactically astute as Rafa but he is better at creating a consistent team.
