I'd like to see Moyes here but there's zero chance of that happening.

My other choices in no particular order would be:

    Wenger
    Hiddink
    Bilic
    MON
    Grayson
    Mcleish
    Martinez
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

so it's being reported that we are looking for a short term contract.

I think that will rule out the majority of quality managers.

Of course, short term is Hiddink's speciality. Could well see us bringing in Dalglish. Even though the head says no, the heart says yes.

I think he would stand a better chance of keeping Gerrard and Torres at the club than anyone else anyway, and ultimately that will be the biggest influence there is on our short term success.

I think we should be going balls out for Guus Hiddenk now.

Yes, but why is he on that list? Has he even managed at club level? Bilic that is.

As an interim manger yes. Not as a long term manager. He donesn't seem to such jobs anymore.

Bilic is going to be a great manager. He said in an interview not so long ago, think it was after a Liverpool game as a pundit on Sky Sports that he would have Liverpool playing in a very attack minded way and that he would deploy Stevie in a much more attacking role with 2 up front if he was manager.

Oh, and I forgot to add Woy Hodgson on that list, knew there was someone I'd forgotten.

Bearing in mind he has more often than not over the last two years been played as one of the two up top, how exactly could he be played in a more attacking role (other than as an out and out striker)?

Bollox. Should have at least got Croatia 2nd in their qualifying group and he's managed a club for a total of 5 games!! I'm not saying he wont be a great manager one day, but is a long way from proving himself worthy to manage LFC.

It's a sad day. Rafa was destined to stay with us, it was a match made in heaven, money money money and all it entails (ie. Chairmen/Power/etc.) meant it was never a free-flowing reign of Rafa's. Aw well, at least the sun is shining here in good ol' Brighton.

                            Mcleish
                            Martinez
Wenger wouldn't leave Arsenal, MON, Grayson or McLeish no thanks! I don't think Martinez is ready for a big job yet but he has the potential to be a good manager IMO.

Leaves Hiddink Bilic and Hodgson. I'm not particularly inspired by any of them.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I said the same thing in a post match thread either here or on 6cm three months ago. Does not make me a potential great manager.

It takes a special kind of personality to manage a club of the size of Liverpool under normal circumstances. It will take an even more special personality to manage us under the current circumstances with no budget.

Every substitution he makes will be analyzed. Every wrong decision, wrong purchase will be magnified. The fact that we have fired a European cup winning manager with no idea on whom to hire next is staggering.

Having said the above, I agree with your general sentiment. I would rather give it to someone unknown and hopes that he turns out to be a truly world class manager, rather than someone uninspiring like Sven.
