-------------------Masch-----------------
-----------Gerrard--------Aquilani------------
Maxi---------------------------------Turan
------------------Torres------------------------

Lazy journalism? Lost in translation? Or do the Italian press know something we don't?
We'd know something by now if the club had been sold and the owners wanted Lippi, imo we'd have had at least a sniff of something that big happening.
Just journalistic nonsense, of which we'll see plenty of.Last edited by Vermilion; 06-06-10, 03:26 PM.

That team looks pretty formidable. Without a doubt, it's down the left that we need to strengthen.Originally posted by fernandinho View PostI would love to see 4-3-3 sooo much with something like this

The thing is, that formation is pretty much what we play already. Call it a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3. Bearing in mind the players we have at our disposal, who ever comes in as manager will most likely stick with this style.
Also, this formation (or a variation of it) seems to have taken over from 4-4-2 as the most popularK ris90210

I think it depends on who the wide players are. Ours do that because they are not really suited to being wingers (in the sense that they very rarely take on full backs).Originally posted by fernandinho View Postthe thing i find with 4-2-3-1 is that the wide players tend to spend much more time cutting in.. i like seeing teams double up out wide using 4-3-3 and using the overlap instead of the fullback coming up the pitch and the midfielder moving into the middle..K ris90210

Vicente Del Bosque.
I am sure after the world cup he will be looking for a proper managerial club. And Spanish plaers are still the best in the world. We should look to retain our Spanish link, and look to someone who likes to keep the ball on the deck, and who is used to wroking in a politically hot environment, and gets through retaining his dignity. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.
