It seems to me you want a winner that has already won ten league titles and 18 CL's
    1. I don't care what you think I think. Perhaps though next time you take the time to reply to one of my posts you might care to consider what I actually said rather than make up something about what I might be thinking.

    2. It's a f*cking stupid argument you seem to be trying to make.

    Dalglish - 25 years ago

    Paisley - 36 years ago

    Shankly - 51 years ago
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I think most people on this site are negative to be honest, sick of reading half the stuff that's been written it's getting everyone down.

Whoever come's in should get our full backing and that is the most important thing right now.

The most successful managers though tend to be the ones that aren't bothered about being liked.

Harry Redknapp would be my first choice but Hughes would be a close second. I don't include Hiddink as I don't think there's any chance of getting him.

I think he was very unfairly treated at City and I think he'd have got them 4th if he stayed.

I take your point about not having won anything as he hasn't managed any real high profile teams but after the dross of the last 10 years, I think it's worth giving him his first opportunity.
The same Harry who ditched that 'quality footballer' Robbie Keane?

Are you basing that on the way he turned Blackburn into a mid table side from relegation material, turned the Welsh from an absolute joke into serious contenders for qualification or had City higher than they'd been in the premier league for I don't know how long?

Maybe a combination of all 3?

I didn't rate his achievments with Wales. He had the strongest welsh side (on paper at least) for a long time. He also had two cracks at the Russian team and failed to learn any lessons from the first leg. Very poor. Toshack's criticism of him (and the team) at the time was justified.

Despite all the money he had at city he just didn't seem to be making much progress.

                  Not good enough for us.

                      Ex-boss reveals right choice
                      by Admin , 07 June 2010 [Setanta]

Gerard Houllier believes Roy Hodgson is the right man to succeed Rafa Benitez at Liverpool, saying the Englishman "deserves" the job.

The former Reds boss is keeping a keen on eye on developments at his old club, where Kenny Dalglish and Christian Purslow have begun their search for a new manager.

Houllier says he would be "delighted" if Hodgson, among the bookies favourites for the post, landed the Anfield hotseat and he thinks the time is right for the 62-year-old.

The Frenchman told the Liverpool Echo: "Roy has done very well with an average team at Fulham. I would be delighted if he could coach Liverpool in his career as he deserves it. "

                      He's used to coaching stars.

Don't forget he was at Inter Milan as well.

It's a big club and a big club will remain a big club.

The quality of the players are still very good (at Liverpool)".
"The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

It just tops it off for me that the manager I didn't want to leave, is looking very likely to become the new manager of the Italian and European champions. Because he's not very good like

We are down in the **** with respect to debts and we spend 6 million to sack a manager who is currently walking into a job with the current European champions.

Whereas our management seems to be in no rush ( read no idea) on who the next manager will be. Phrases such as " a list of managers have been drawn up" reads like statements released by Newcastle and clubs of similar ilk to paint an illusion of the presence of planning.

If they knew Rafa was going to be fired, they should have had that list drawn up a week before the Hull game and finalized the candidate within a week of the end of season.

I am having reservations about Hodgeson now. My top choices would be Van Gaal and Pellegrini, in that order. Wonder when they manage to appoint someone, it's been what three days alerady

When you put it that way, Dalglish it is.
