Reknapp is a joke. MoN is unpopular. Hughes is unproven. Hodgson is not up to it. Allardyce is fat. Curbishley is, well Curbishley. Dave Bassett?
Yeah, a manager who's just guided Tottenham(who were a joke themselves before Redknapp took charge of em)to the Champions League and has completely tranformed them is a Joke. A manager who has virtally worked miracles wherever he's been at.
And as for Roy Hodgson, how do you know he isn't up to it? Again he's worked miracles for little old Fulham who were on the verge of relegation a few seasons ago, now they're off the back of a European Final and are probably over-achieving with solid mid-table finishes in the last two seasons.
You're just throwing negative accusations for the sake of it and with little thought.

Why's he a joke? Why is Hodgson not up to it? We have very little money, surely getting a manager in who knows the league, knows the players and has an eye for a bargain and consistently gets good performances out of players should be more of a priority than that a cunt with a foreign accent that is the current flavour of the month?

I should have qualified my post.
Those aren't necessarilly my opinions, just some which I have read on here that week or so.
That said, I think Redknapp would be a disaster. I would prefer Hodgson.

I don't really think that Redknapp does get bargains though. It seems telling that soon after he left he left three clubs have gone into administration or similar with massive debts - largely based on the payment of wages and agent and transfer fees. His wheeling and dealing has come at a huge price in the long run to West Ham and Portsmouth (the third team I list is Southampton who had other problems). Every manager who follows him has to trim the wage budget as a first priority. We will probably need the manager who comes in to trim the wage budget.
I've said before while there is no evidence that Hodgson would not be up to it there isn't that much to suggest he would. He is a decent manager but I don't think that his recent record (one away win last season for example) is inspiring as some make out.

The only Brit I'd be happy with is Kenny, either get Nichol or Carra as his assistant and prepare them to take over. Bootroom way, we have done next to **** all since it ended. (not including Istanbul)
Liverpool legend Ian St John is calling on the Anfield board to appoint a British manager.
The ex-Scotland international believes it is time for the Reds to look closer to home after six-year spells for Gerard Houllier and Rafa Benitez.
St John told BBC Radio Merseyside: "Personally I hope we get a British manager. We've had over 10 years of foreign managers.
"Take away the night in Istanbul and the whole club seems to have changed."
St John, 71, was signed by legendary Liverpool manager Bill Shankly in 1961. LINK
Xenophobic old fogey.
And why should we "take away the night in Istanbul"? WTF is he on about? I suspect even he has no idea.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
