Im of the opinion he was too busy watching his- and LFC's- back to properly manage the on-field stuff and that gradually wore him down. The media campaign against him certainly didn't help either.

the reason he is gone is he faught too many battles with those higher up in the club. Once he lost hi power with a poor season they got rid.
if he had fought with them and got a good league position he would still be here.
if he hadnt fought them and finished 7th i would think there is a good chance he would still be here .
i dont want kenny as manager for the reasons i have said many times. If its a nailed on kenny of 86 then yes please.
I think it looks like woy.
Lippi or capello or my choices but not going to happen i dont think.

tis a good point shaggy - roy wont know whats ****ing hit himOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostBe interesting to see how pally everyone is with him if he takes over. Before the UEFA Cup final Channel 5 showed a load of managers - such as Ferguson, Moyes, Redknapp and others - all sending their cringeworthy messages of support.
And the press. They all love Roy too, everyone loves Roy. A few defeats and that'll soon ****ing change.i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

I disagree, we have to be realistic, we can't expect to be challenging year in year out, we just don't have the resources to do that. We need a big squad, a big wage budget, a big ground and stability. Tottenham have greater resources than us, City, Chelsea and United and Arsenal as well.Originally posted by red g View PostI think its a merit of Rafa the man that so many people are looking back with Rafa red tinted spectacles on.
We were ****ing woeful last season and we arent Everton or Newcastle this club should be challlenging year in, year out who gives there manager time.
Amazing how Joe Cole can speak to the press 10mins after announcing bring a free agent, yet Gerrard and Torres have not said a word about Rafa going and the fact Kenny is going to work with the Yanks, tells me things arent as bad as people are making out.
Yes the finances at the club are a mess, but i also believe that for Rafa had run his course and a new manager will do better than Rafa would have next season.
The best we can hope for is 3-4th and a cup win, and for that Rafa happened to be good at.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Are there ANY real organised schemes out there other than SOS to cripple the 2 cnuts financially? Like witholding payment on season tickets or not going to the first match or turning up late and not taking seats until 10 mins after KO or anything.
The only way to hurt them is in the pocket............
thoughts ?

would never tell / suggest other fans boycott matches.Originally posted by Bender View PostThe Fans .....boycott the matches
fair do's it hits the yanks financially but what a kick in the balls the players will feel too being outnumbered by away fans at a home match......if fans start boycotting matches i say we might as well start looking towards mid table obscurity.
the players need us now more than ever.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

then all these sos marches are meaningless ......the yanks are sitting there laughing while they burn little yank flags wearing their new lfc tops ........You can tell us to **** off as long as you have paid £50 for a new shirt thanks very muchOriginally posted by the rev leeroy brown View Postwould never tell / suggest other fans boycott matches.

Short term pain, long term gain though.
The clubs two biggest sources of income are match tickets and TV income. We can either all unsubscribe to Sky (not just the Sports channels) or we can stop attending games. I doubt the loss of subscribers would have much effect on Sky, and so would have little effect on the TV income (it wouldn't have any effect until the next TV contract is renewed).
This leaves match tickets as the only significant income stream we can have an effect on.

I fail to see what that has to do with not liking Hughes because of his Scum associations and thinking that he's a **** manager, a million miles away from being up to the Liverpool job - unless of course you think that Hughes is a latter-day Matt Busby, under-rated by all and a potential saviour for Liverpool. If so, I suspect you're in a club of one memberOriginally posted by kris90210 View PostSir Matt Busby captained Liverpool. Lucky for Utd they overlooked that when they appointed him

I've suggested this before and I'll do it again ...
a mass walk out at half time during a live game, that way the team are aware of the support and they know the reasons behind the walk out, this would be international news and would highlight our plight, I'd particularly like to agree to it twice in a season in conjunction with the mancs who are also going through the same pain, so both Anfield and Old Trafford were emptied live around the world
the only problem is getting people to agree to it
