He's far from an idiot. I can understand why many are frustrated, but to insult the guy is out of order in my view.

I know we're all frustrated but we need to ****ing get on with it and back the manager, unite as fans and get behind the team.

This club needs us all now more than ever before and instead we're all bickering and in fighting for christ sake. ****ing hell.

No, we don't, because that's exactly what the owners would have us do, just sit back, accept it...and let them get on with pillaging the club.

Fans do need to unite yes, but not in support of this manager, but in defiance of this ownership and the pathetic place they have now taken this club to with all THEIR ****in debt and lies.

I'm actually more positive than I was. If Torres and Gerrard back him then it will put to bed most rumours and problems.

I think most peoples possible problem is they see the star players leaving if he comes in. If they stay, I wonder, will people on here change their minds?

For any manager to be a success they need the players to buy into their ideas. I see no reason he can not be a success if we can win over the playing staff. This Liverpool squad, whilst lacking depth, is easily a top 6 side. After that it will depend on luck with injuries and how much the likes of City, Spurs and Arsenal spend.

This club and whoever they choose as manager needs to earn my support with proper handling of players, strong transfers and results on the pitch. I would never have a go at a new manager; he deserves a shot to prove himself. But given the circumstances, I am skeptical and I am not going head over heels, flying banners and singing anyone's name until they earn it. The players have my enduring support; this is beyond their control. But the rest? The owners have shown me who they truly are and I am disgusted by the way Broughton and Purslow have handled Rafa and not had a superior replacement ready. So, welcome to Liverpool, but I'm skeptical and have a terrible taste in my mouth over all of this.

Great article. Look at the comments by Danny Murphy. Then wonder if he and Gerrard still speak. When you arrive to the correct conclusion that they do, may be you will see a possibility that means Gerrard would be positive about Hodgson.

That is what I'm seeing. I orginally wanted Louis van Gaal, then Dalglish. But we are getting Hodgson. May as well try and see the positives.

Im not too bothered about Hodgson as long as we keep our top players. If we keep our top players then im sure good Hodgson can do a good enough job in terms of building team spirit, sound tactics and team selections and could get us back into the top 4.

He's not my ideal choice but we'll see how this pans out. If he can hold on to our top players and get rid of the duffers while replacing them them with better quality i'd be happy enough. Just want to get back to good team performances rather then everything on Stevie and Torres form.

I know this sounds weird and twisted but I think people who were Pro-Rafa and are sorta opposed to Roy currently will be more patient with Roy than people who were Anti-Rafa and are currently in favor of appointing Roy.
