All this talk about Rooney, he's not in the same league as Messi and Ronaldo!! They are simply in a class of there own in terms of ability. The media are just building Rooney up for the world cup and to be up Uniteds arse.. plus he's has a brilliant season compared to last.

Messi is head and shoulders the best player in the world, this Rooney hyperbole is just pure good old English bias. Rooney has been fantastic this season but still Messi is out on his own.
And Rooney isn't even the best striker in the north west FFS.

As far as I know it's 40 goals in 40 games at Anfield and 56 goals in 78 league games.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostAnyone care to wack up Torres' games to goals ratio in a Liverpool shirt.
Love to see the complete stats though. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

a goal every 125 mins, though that is no including being subbed etc.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostIm certain he is. You put it up there as 56 goals in 78 games, but in terms of goals per minute he's something like a goal every 90 minutes.
Hang on I'll work it out.

If Shrek played for us we'd be hyping him as the best in the world.
The fat ginger knacker has carried Utd, he's been by far the best player in the Premiership, not only does he score goals but he is also integral to the all round team play too. The fact that unlike Torres he doesn't go through spells of prolonged injury means he can be relied on much more.
Best players in the world:
1. Messi
2. Ronaldo
3. Rooney
Love Torres but he's not there yet, but i do think he'll be top scorer in the world cup our loss will be Spain's gain.We come not to play.
