    Post match LFC v Benfica

    That'll do nicely!

Yanks'll probably think we don't need any reinforcements now

Interesting Valencia or Atletico next up.

Great result for the lads, pleased.

Anyone have any links to the goals - stuck in work (

Agger makes a decent LB. The Greek is ****ing awesome, my new cult hero. Torres is just an incredible player, simple. Midfield was good although Yossi wasn't At his best. Johnson was ****.

Over the two legs, the teams were actually pretty even, but when you have a striker like we do, it makes all the difference.

A question though: are we now officially a counter attacking team?

Dirk looking potentially Reece-ish in that post match interview.

Shave it all off Dirky you'll look well hard

Aye, special mention for Lucas, Dirk and Nando.
          3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Right, go and win that trophy now lads.

Need some silverware this season - plenty of our current players haven't won anything with us and I'd like to see Torres, Kuyt & Agger etc lift what is hopefully their first of many with us.

Just glad to see that ****house team get kicked out, they really pissed me off with there fouls that went unpunished, complaining to the ref about everything and the play acting.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Insua's absence made it much easier tonight - the lad's a anchor around the neck of good fortune.

I was despondent after the Brum game - but **** it de de de de de de daaaaaa

Our 3rd goal is the end product of why we and others like Arsenal bring everyone back for a corner to leave acres of space to attack into. Just that we don't do it as well as Arsenal most of the time.
Lucas absolutely immense, Kuyt performed when it mattered again, Gerrard is lucky his **** house turning of his back and breaking from the wall didn't cost us.
                              Torres 2 touches 2 goals.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.
