It annoyed me to see people queuing up after the Benfica game to say "that's why you don't take Torres off" - how utterly patronising. Do they think Rafa's not aware of this? He's in possession of all the facts, we're not, and Torres obviously needs some looking after.

Rafa is so so so so weird. When Lucas plays crap, bad form etc then he gets in the team every week. But as soon as he has a good game he then gets benched. Just can't figure it out. Im not complaining as such, Im happy to see Aquilani get another start. Hopefully another performance like the one he gave last time he started at home against Pompey

Yeah, but we're a one-man team, oh sorry, two-man team, so we need Torres on at all times no matter what. Journalist's attitudes in general towards Rafa in this country are infuriantingly, hm, patronising like you say
