Not just wide areas, midfield in general. We only have 7 players in the squad who have scored more than 1 goal this season
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'll tryOriginally posted by Bender View PostHey Jim stop fixing things

And our midfielders. And one or two from defenders would be nice too. Our whole team seriously lacks firepower, putting far too much pressure on a very select number of players to score constantly.Originally posted by cream View PostWe also need goals from our wide players
Yep. We should be so accustomed to disapointment this season we all should just be happy they didn't score some random fluke goal involving an inflatable and twelve deflections at the endOriginally posted by Mattshark View PostNot happy with our season at all, I just think there is dramatic over reaction commonly on here.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

To be fair there were people being just as bad for games last season.

How can it be a dramatic over reaction when it is looking as though we are going to finish 5th or 6th, possibly 7th.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostNot happy with our season at all, I just think there is dramatic over reaction commonly on here.
For god's sake we have played this season with one striker, absolutely world class, who unfortunately has been a bit injury prone, and one youngster. Even the majority of us non football managers could see that was going to be disasterous. Then we have the purchase of a badly injured midfileder leaving us with a weakened squad for most of the season. As good as I believe Aquilani will be, purchasing him injured when the squad wasn't big enough was also a disasterous move. There is more but these two examples show why people have reacted in the way they have and it is no over reaction, it's a realistic reaction.

Sadly I predicted this in the summer. You could see it coming a mile off.Originally posted by liverpooltj View PostLightening strikes twice.
2002/2003 we come second in the league to the gunners
2003/2004 we completely fall apart in league but finish 4th
2008/2009 we come second in the league to the scum (but should have won the league)
2009.2010 we completely fall apart in the league
3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I started to have serious doubts about this season when we were so so poor in our pre season games. You could see that the team was not working well together and we had regressed.Originally posted by PC Plod View PostSadly I predicted this in the summer. You could see it coming a mile off.

The manager planned his transfers around a promised budget, a budget that was cut by 20mill..who knows who he would have bought, or wanted to buy till that happened, had he even already done the deal for Aquilani.....and then suddenly he was left with only enough cash for Kyriagos.... who knows, but i imagine Rafa would have liked to buy more players too...including a top class striker...like Berbatov for 30mill, who when needed most...can't score.
