bad news really needed him for EL and for the battle of the sixth position - how depressing that is just saying.

Also that means his WC is in real danger, poor lad.

I've said it before, but I think there's a chance he's played his last game for us!

If Barca (he'd suit them perfectly) were to come in for him in the summer with a huge bid, I think he'd probably want the move. To be honest, for Barca at least, I couldnt blame him

We're out of the race for fourth, the pressure is now off to an extent. Let's throw caution to the wind and go all out to beat teams and if we concede ****loads of goals then it doesn't really matter. It's been a pig of a season, let's finish it on a high and get the crowd going again.

i dont think anyone is surprised that he's not fit and will miss the rest of the season.

Its now up to the others in the squad to pull together and get as many points as possible.

Its funny because he hardly had an injury for atletico and played pretty much all the time although definitely not at this sort of tempo.

It was bound to happen. Once again he was brought back too soon, I suppose you could argue out of necessity.

Much as I'd like him to be able to have a complete break, he's a good guy and I wouldn't want him to miss the World Cup. Spain had better not rush him back but in 6 weeks it might be out of the hands of our medical team.

Mebbe it'll be a blessing in (a very good) disguise if he misses the WC. Allow him proper rest.
                          3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Couldn't care less if he misses the World Cup. As long as he is fully fit for us next season.

He'll be fit for the world cup and play in every game and score goals and then be injured for us next season.

And Rafa's already bought us a top striker Jovanovic. So we'll be spending our money on a left back, 4 midfeilders, a score of average youth players, and one really **** backup keeper.
