                Simple win, awful match. West Ham were atrocious. Nice easy workout before a long journey and a tough match in Madrid.

                  Why? He's awful, he can't defend at all, he's a hopeless right back, and he doesn't have enough going forward to play in midfield. I really don't see the point in keeping him

                      3-0 win good 3 points but not a great performance, we were average, West ham are very poor

                        I think he's got something about him. Pretty good cover for Johnson in that they are both the same type of attacking RB. If Johnson is injured, Rafa wouldn't need tactical changes to include Degen, although there is obviously a big difference in quality.

                          Yep, I'd agree with that. No one really stood out, apart from maybe Gerrard's set piece delivery which was surprisingly good and consistent tonight.

                            Degen doesn't have the defensive capabilities of Johnson, and I don't rate Johnson as a defender.

                              I know Johnson gets some stick for his defending but he's alot better than Degen.
