It is a minor miracle if we finish fourth, and tbh I don't see it happening. 3 teams still have to slip up in front of us, which is to much to ask. With only 2 games left I just don't see it happening that none of the teams will get what is needed.
Spurs needs 5 points in 3 games
City needs 6 points in 3 games
Villa needs 5 points in 2 games
it is just unrealistic thinking that not one of those teams will get that, although city is facing both spurs and villa.
add to that, that we have a very though game against chelsea which they need to win to become champions...

I can't see us getting 4th, I find it frustrating, because despite being absolutely awful all season, and City and Spurs being 'amazing' we'll probably have been just a couple of results away from clinching it.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

i've made my peace with not making 4th now....to be honest, i don't want us to get it, we deserve to be where we are cause we have been ****e, and somehow snatching 4th i fear would paper over some of the cracks. I'm hoping that a 6th/7th place finish might spark a reaction for some change. I also think that no champions league football next season will take a huge distraction away from the players meaning that we can concentrate our efforts on the league games, using the europa and cup games for squad players/youth.i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

4th is long gone.
we blew it on so many occasions this year.
we can only hope that city get 4th now for if either of villa or spurs get CL football then they become a much moire attractive option to players and with city still having the dough we would be in a real struggle to attract big name players.
still be nice to finish the season with 2 wins though.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

quite honstly i couldnt give a flying **** if manure win the league.Originally posted by Vermilion View PostSeeing as our only hope of 4th is to beat the Chavs, what would people prefer...get 4th and watch the Scum lift No19...or, not get 4th and Scum lose out on No19 ?
This is doing my nut in, the thought of beating Chelsea and watching those Scummy ****s and their manager celebrate our win.
we need to stop living in past glory and look forward. at this moment in time manure are not our rivals........city and villa and spurs are.
even if we do stop manure winning number 19 this year they will win it again anyway so why fight it.
if any self respecting lfc fans out there would serioulsy want chelsea to **** us up next week just to stop another team winning league they should be ashamed!!!People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Not the balls faultOriginally posted by Darkon View PostI still find it very depressing that a blow-up beachball could end up costing us CL...
...the ref dfidn't seem to know the rules is what was wrong...a simple decision to stop play is all that was needed...or failing that....disallowing an obvious stupid goal....he did neither, ands while i don't like blaming refs, this is one decision i have no sympathy with, he should have known the rule.

I can see both the City-Villa and City-Spurs games being draws as all the sides will be too afraid to lose, which means if they both win their other game City will pick up 5 points, and Villa 4 points. Meaning if we win both our games we can finish above them both, but I can't see Spurs failing to pick up at least 4 more points from their games against Bolton and Burnley. So for me we'll finish 5th at best. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Sure it is the refs fault in the end as well as the f.a. not doing what they should have done - change the result or a rematch.Originally posted by Vermilion View PostNot the balls fault

There are many other moments in this season to blame, but that one will stand out if we miss 1 point in the end.
