Lets face it, ManUre are going to get to 19 before we do - be this year or one of the next couple.

Whilst I'd rather they didnt, we should concetrate on our slim chances of 4th.

We have 0 PL titles. Our players use that as motivation instead of living off the passion and skill the legends had in getting us 18.

Liverpool can't get 4th place, it is almost impossible. Rafa should remember what Fergie told him last year 'he's disturbed.'

Today, whilst bored at work, I was taking a good look at the season finish. How would this be for a finish to the season:

              Current table:
              Team – Played – GD – Points
              4. Spurs – 35 – 26 – 64
              5. Villa – 36 – 16 – 64
              6. City – 35 – 27 – 63
              7. Liverpool – 36 – 28 – 62

              Fixtures
              --------
              Spurs – Bolton / City / Burnley
              Villa – City / Blackburn
City – Villa / Spurs / West Ham
              Liverpool – Chelsea / Hull

              Theoretically possible
              ----------------------
              Spurs – L / D / W
              Villa – D / W
              City – D / D / W
              Liverpool – W / W

Spurs losing to Bolton and us beating Chelsea are the only stretch results there. Both being the kind of results you wouldn't bet on but you certainly wouldn't bet too much against either.

We are out of form, but we quite often step up ridiculously in these ties.

It's a massive stretch no doubt, for so many results to go perfectly, however it's not the impossibility it was looking a couple of weeks back.

And it would leave a 4 way tie decided on goal difference for 4th place. Which barring some very large scores would be us.

And **** it, I'm sick of being depressed this season. Long shot that it is, it is possible. We will do it. Dare to dream

If City beat Villa or Spurs beat Bolton on the Saturday, then we have no realistic chance of getting 4th...mathematically we do, but it's too much to hope for.

So, if the above were to happen, I would like us to do what Wolves did against United, and field a team made up of fringe players an reserves.

                -----------Cavalieri-----------
                Degen Ayala Kyrgiakos Mavinga
                ---------Lucas Plessis---------
                Amoo------Pacheco------Babel
                ------------N'Gog-------------

regardless of other teams scores etc..... i want to see this line up:

                  reina

                  carra
                  zorba
                  agger

                  johnson
                  mash
                  ste
                  aqua
                  yossi

                  babel
                  pacheco
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Were not going to finish 4th. The only thing that can make this season in any way bearable is if we lose, Chelsea win the league and Utd are still on 18 titles.

Im not going to the match. For the first time ever I will completely avoid watching it too.

If anyone thinks thats being petty then they can **** off coz they don't understand football

Is the correct answer. All the time 4th is a possibility then I want it, once it's gone I only want Chelsea to win the title.

I still think (despite recent thread) that losing out on 4th, and even our precious record, could be a kick up the arse. I'd rather the scum reached 20 titles and we reached 19 than spending another 20 years finishing as also rans.

So undecided on the whole issue but fair play to those wanting to protect our record, and fair play to those who feel that we are big enough to only worry about our own accomplishments. Must go, before I fall off this fence..

No way. The thought of them overtaking us as the most successful team in England makes me physically sick. I might actually kill the first manc that tries to slag me if that happens. The worst feeling is knowing that we have lost about 17 games this season to all sorts of **** teams and won't make 4th yet somehow might get a result in the 1 match that means **** all for us and everything to them

Got to agree. It's painful. They have never, ever, ever been ahead of us in league titles.

What's also sickening me is the Mancs' sudden admiration for us. Sickening. Went out earlier and I saw a neighbour...a Manc. He was like "oh you're a really good side and if you're anywhere near your best you'll beat Chelsea". Funny, he'd never told me how good he thought we were before. The local rag is full of it too. **** off you snivelling cunts.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I really hope we lose. There, I've said it. Summer will be unbearable if the mancs get 19.
