I think you're reading too much into it. Mascherano is a player that gets frustrated easily, and is a winner. It's a reaction I would have expected from him in that situation regardless of anything else (dressing room unrest or otherwise).Originally posted by Bender View Postnah i think more unrest in the dressing room ....think marks and spenser have more control over the dressing rooms than does rafaThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

2 main points of last nights game showed how much work is still needed for glen johnson on his defensive game......2nd to every ball, no urgency tracking back, weak tackles - but offensively he is a real treat to watch.
now for babel
anybody who argues how **** he was last ngiht has absoloutely no football savvy and is a real **** for brains - ran his ****ing heart out, tracked back, was the only lfc player who got a buzz going in the crowd when on the ball, attacked really well, showed his confidence is returning, easily MOM last night.........so obviously gonna be dropped for chelsea game
all in though, i thought we were good last night and if only for a fit torres would have spanked them. just shows when the gaffer can get the team up for it they can really perform. unlucky lads.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Yeah well worth judging him on his 7 minutes.Originally posted by cream View PostBoth el zhar and degen were getting involved much more than pacheco, hardly got a touch of the ball. The wankfest surrounding pacheco is a bit ott, you'd think he was messi.

Sums up our crap season really.
We started brightly, put them under pressure, eventually got a very good goal - although I didn't think Aquilani had a particularly good game - unlucky not getting a second with that tremendous one-touch move which sadly had an injured and knackered Kuyt on the end of it to spoon over the bar. Second half we seemed to just run out of energy and allowed an average team to take hold of the game. In the end we can't really have any complaints about the result, we shaded the game on the night but not enough daylight between the teams.
I'm all for wholesale changes again in the summer - it's really painful to think of Rafa leaving but I do think his time and team has past. Last year was his year and we're now on an alarming downward trajectory.
Get a new manager in and put virtually all the squad up for sale. Only ones safe are Reina, Agger, and Mascherano.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

So we had to travel 24 hours by coach, train and plane before the first leg. Had Torres, Maxi, Insua, Aurelio, Skrtel, Riera unavailable for different reason, a makeshift back 4 that handled Athletico pretty well, Glen 'some idiots on here say he can't defend' Johnson wasn't beaten by Reyes once playing out of position as the left back, Reyes got the bounce of the ball when then competed for a header and Masch was miles, miles out of position at Right Back for their goal.
Over the 2 legs Athletico deserved it but don't come on here slating the manager or players because some of the circumstances or luck we've had this season has been terribleThe King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

7th in the league. Out of the CL in the group stages. Abject football.Originally posted by The Birdman View PostSo we had to travel 24 hours by coach, train and plane before the first leg. ...But don't blame the manager or the players
Look for silly excuses instead. We had to travel by train/johnson didn't make a mistake, it was the bounce of the ball blah blah

Well that's the price you pay for not getting the away goal. I was complaining about our lack of threat in the first leg and got shouted down for it, but the outcome is we're now dumped out because we were too chicken-**** to actually push on and score in Madrid.
Same old really, i'm not remotely surprised, i knew we'd need 3 and i knew we wouldnt get them.
Rafa did what he always does, non-threatening changes, no increase of attacking options when we need a goal, just the same boring like-for-like subs.
Atletico needed a goal and they brought on a striker for a midfielder.
Rafa needs a goal and he brings on a rightback. As always, too scared (or whatever) to increase the attacking threat, just like for like. When he brought on an attacking player in Pacheco, he takes off an attacking player in Benayoun. Yawn.
We'll go no further under Rafa.

i think mash was basically ****ed or injured when he came off for degen so cant really blame him for that sub.Originally posted by Craig_H View Post

but i was pissed off to **** not to bring on pacheco much much earlier. kyut was dead on his feet and was not only no threat but wasnt closing down like he was early doors. benni ( yes still finding fitness ) was a far greater threat to madrid but was replaced? that annoyed me also.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

We had a perfectly good away goal ruled out for off side. Extra officials....my arse!!!!!Originally posted by Craig_H View PostWell that's the price you pay for not getting the away goal. We'll go right to the top under Rafa and good owners, of that i have little doubt.

Instead of dwelling on the negatives, I have tried to memorise the sweet passing move that nearlly provided the goal of the year for Diry Kuyt.
You know the one. Aqua, Stevie etc etc. How many cute passes did they string together before feeding masher who played in a beauitful ball but Dirk couldn't keep it down.
If only we produced football like that every week, No 19 would be ours
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

We need to stick together as a club and as fans, then from this adversity will come success....sweet sweet success, and it will be all the sweeter seeing this manager bring us it. That's my opinion anyway. Get some proper owners in and we'll ****in show em all.Originally posted by SB View PostInstead of dwelling on the negatives, I have tried to memorise the sweet passing move that nearlly provided the goal of the year for Diry Kuyt.
